  • Isaiah 48:4 - Because I know that you are obstinate, And your neck is an iron tendon And your brow is bronze [both unyielding],
  • 1 Kings 22:20 - The Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said this, while another said that.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:3 - While they are saying, “Peace and safety [all is well and secure!]” then [in a moment unforeseen] destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains on a woman with child, and they will absolutely not escape [for there will be no way to escape the judgment of the Lord].
  • Matthew 26:21 - And as they were eating, He said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you that one of you will betray Me.”

  • 2 Chronicles 25:16 - As he was talking, the king said to him, “Have we made you the king’s counselor? Stop! Why should you be put to death?” Then the prophet stopped and said, “I know that God has decided to destroy you because you have done this and have ignored my advice.”

  • 1 Kings 22:34 - But one man drew a bow at random and struck the king of Israel in a joint of the armor. So he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and take me out of the fight, because I have been seriously wounded.”
  • 1 Kings 22:35 - The battle raged that day, and [Ahab] the king was propped up in his chariot facing the Arameans (Syrians). And in the evening he died, and the blood from his wound ran down into the bottom of the chariot.

  • Proverbs 1:31 - Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own [wicked] way And be satiated with [the penalty of] their own devices.
  • Proverbs 6:15 - Therefore [the crushing weight of] his disaster will come suddenly upon him; Instantly he will be broken, and there will be no healing or remedy [because he has no heart for God].
