1 Samuel 15:3 - Agora vão, ataquem os amalequitas e consagrem ao Senhor para destruição tudo o que lhes pertence. Não os poupem; matem homens, mulheres, crianças, recém-nascidos, bois, ovelhas, camelos e jumentos’ ”.
1 Samuel 15:4 - Então convocou Saul os homens e os reuniu em Telaim: duzentos mil soldados de infantaria e dez mil homens de Judá.
1 Samuel 15:5 - Saul foi à cidade de Amaleque e armou uma emboscada no vale.
1 Samuel 15:6 - Depois disse aos queneus: “Retirem-se, saiam do meio dos amalequitas para que eu não os destrua com eles; pois vocês foram bondosos com os israelitas, quando eles estavam vindo do Egito”. Então os queneus saíram do meio dos amalequitas.
1 Samuel 15:7 - E Saul atacou os amalequitas por todo o caminho, desde Havilá até Sur, a leste do Egito.
1 Samuel 15:8 - Capturou vivo Agague, rei dos amalequitas, e exterminou o seu povo.
1 Samuel 15:9 - Mas Saul e o exército pouparam Agague e o melhor das ovelhas e dos bois, os bezerros gordos e os cordeiros. Pouparam tudo o que era bom, mas tudo o que era desprezível e inútil destruíram por completo.
Números 24:20 - Balaão viu Amaleque e pronunciou este oráculo: “Amaleque foi o primeiro das nações, mas o seu fim será destruição”.
Números 14:43 - pois os amalequitas e os cananeus os enfrentarão ali, e vocês cairão à espada. Visto que deixaram de seguir o Senhor, ele não estará com vocês”.
