  • Romans 15:4 - Everything written in the past was written to teach us. The Scriptures give us strength to go on. They encourage us and give us hope.
  • 1 Corinthians 9:25 - All who take part in the games train hard. They do it to get a crown that will not last. But we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
  • James 5:7 - Brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord comes. See how the farmer waits for the land to produce its rich crop. See how patient the farmer is for the fall and spring rains.
  • James 5:8 - You too must be patient. You must remain strong. The Lord will soon come back.
  • James 5:9 - Brothers and sisters, don’t find fault with one another. If you do, you will be judged. And the Judge is standing at the door!
  • James 5:10 - Brothers and sisters, think about the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. They are an example of how to be patient when you suffer.
  • Revelation 14:12 - God’s people need to be very patient. They are the ones who obey God’s commands. And they remain faithful to Jesus.
  • Acts 24:25 - Paul talked about how to live a godly life. He talked about how people should control themselves. He also talked about the time when God will judge everyone. Then Felix became afraid. “That’s enough for now!” he said. “You may leave. When I find the time, I will send for you.”
  • Hebrews 12:1 - A huge cloud of witnesses is all around us. So let us throw off everything that stands in our way. Let us throw off any sin that holds on to us so tightly. And let us keep on running the race marked out for us.
  • 2 Peter 1:3 - God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life. All of this has come to us because we know the God who chose us. He chose us because of his own glory and goodness.
  • Luke 21:19 - Remain strong in the faith, and you will receive eternal life.
  • Romans 5:3 - And that’s not all. We are full of joy even when we suffer. We know that our suffering gives us the strength to go on.
  • Romans 5:4 - The strength to go on produces character. Character produces hope.
  • Hebrews 10:36 - You need to be faithful. Then you will do what God wants. You will receive what he has promised.
