• 撒母耳记上 19:19-24: 有人向扫罗报告说：“看哪，大卫在拉玛的纳约特。”扫罗就派人去捉拿大卫。他们看见一队先知正在说预言，撒母耳站在前头带领他们。神的灵临到扫罗派来的人身上，他们也说预言。有人报告给扫罗，他就派遣另外一些人去，结果他们也说预言。扫罗第三次再派人去，他们也说预言。于是扫罗亲自往拉玛去。他来到在塞库那里的大水窖，询问说：“撒母耳和大卫在哪里？”有人回答：“看哪，在拉玛的纳约特。”扫罗就从那里往拉玛的纳约特去。神的灵也临到他，他一边走一边说预言，一直来到拉玛的纳约特。他脱下衣服，也在撒母耳面前说预言，整日整夜赤身躺卧。因此人们说：“难道扫罗也算在先知中吗？”
• 哥林多前书 14:29-30: 做先知传道的也应该两个人或三个人讲，其他的人应当分辨。如果在坐的人中另有人得了启示，那先讲的就应当保持沉默。
• 使徒行传 4:19-20: 可是彼得和约翰回答说：“听从你们过于听从神，在神面前是理所当然的吗？你们自己判断吧！要知道，我们所看见所听见的，我们不能不说。”
