  • Exodus 7:7 - And Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
  • Exodus 7:8 - Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
  • Exodus 7:9 - “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘ Work a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, so that it may turn into a serpent.’ ”
  • Exodus 7:10 - So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and so they did, just as the Lord had commanded; and Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it turned into a serpent.
  • Exodus 7:11 - Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and they too, the soothsayer priests of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts.
  • Exodus 7:12 - For each one threw down his staff, and they turned into serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed their staffs.
  • Exodus 7:13 - Yet Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.
  • Exodus 7:14 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn; he refuses to let the people go.
  • Exodus 7:15 - Go to Pharaoh in the morning just as he is going out to the water, and position yourself to meet him on the bank of the Nile; and you shall take in your hand the staff that was turned into a serpent.

  • Psalms 78:48 - He also turned their cattle over to the hailstones, And their herds to bolts of lightning.
  • Psalms 78:49 - He sent His burning anger upon them, Fury and indignation and trouble, A band of destroying angels.
  • Psalms 78:50 - He leveled a path for His anger; He did not spare their souls from death, But turned their lives over to the plague,
  • Psalms 78:51 - And struck all the firstborn in Egypt, The first and best of their vigor in the tents of Ham.
  • Psalms 78:52 - But He led His own people out like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock;
  • Psalms 78:53 - He led them safely, so that they did not fear; But the sea engulfed their enemies.
  • Psalms 78:54 - So He brought them to His holy land, To this hill country which His right hand had gained.
  • Psalms 78:55 - He also drove out the nations from them And apportioned them as an inheritance by measurement, And had the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.
  • Psalms 78:56 - Yet they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God And did not keep His testimonies,
  • Psalms 78:57 - But turned back and acted treacherously like their fathers; They turned aside like a treacherous bow.
  • Psalms 78:58 - For they provoked Him with their high places And moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.
  • Psalms 78:59 - When God heard them, He was filled with wrath And He utterly rejected Israel;
  • Psalms 78:60 - So that He abandoned the dwelling place at Shiloh, The tent which He had pitched among people,
  • Psalms 78:61 - And He gave up His strength to captivity And His glory into the hand of the enemy.
  • Psalms 78:62 - He also turned His people over to the sword, And was filled with wrath at His inheritance.
  • Psalms 78:63 - Fire devoured His young men, And His virgins had no wedding songs.
  • Psalms 78:64 - His priests fell by the sword, And His widows could not weep.
  • Psalms 78:65 - Then the Lord awoke as if from sleep, Like a warrior overcome by wine.
  • Psalms 78:66 - He drove His adversaries backward; He put on them an everlasting disgrace.
  • Psalms 78:67 - He also rejected the tent of Joseph, And did not choose the tribe of Ephraim,
  • Psalms 78:68 - But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which He loved.
  • Psalms 78:69 - And He built His sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which He has established forever.
  • Psalms 78:70 - He also chose His servant David And took him from the sheepfolds;
  • Psalms 78:71 - From the care of the ewes with nursing lambs He brought him To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.
  • Psalms 78:72 - So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them with his skillful hands.
  • Exodus 3:19 - But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except under compulsion.
  • Exodus 3:20 - So I will reach out with My hand and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it; and after that he will let you go.
  • Deuteronomy 4:34 - Or has a god ventured to go to take for himself a nation from within another nation by trials, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, just as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
  • Psalms 87:4 - “I shall mention Rahab and Babylon among those who know Me; Behold, Philistia and Tyre with Cush: ‘This one was born there.’ ”
  • Psalms 144:6 - Flash forth lightning and scatter them; Send out Your arrows and confuse them.
