  • 2 Chronicles 14:9 - Now Zerah the Ethiopian went out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah.
  • 2 Chronicles 14:10 - So Asa went out to meet him, and they drew up in battle formation in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
  • 2 Chronicles 14:11 - Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, “Lord, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; help us, Lord our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude. Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You.”
  • 2 Chronicles 14:12 - So the Lord routed the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.
  • 2 Chronicles 14:13 - Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and so many Ethiopians fell that they could not recover, for they were shattered before the Lord and before His army. And they carried away a very large amount of plunder.

  • Judges 7:14 - And his friend replied, “This is nothing other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has handed over to him Midian and all the camp.”
  • Judges 7:15 - When Gideon heard the account of the dream and its interpretation, he bowed in worship. Then he returned to the camp of Israel and said, “Arise, for the Lord has handed over to you the camp of Midian!”
  • Judges 7:16 - And he divided the three hundred men into three units, and he put trumpets and empty pitchers into the hands of all of them, with torches inside the pitchers.
  • Judges 7:17 - Then he said to them, “Look at me and do likewise. And behold, when I come to the outskirts of the camp, do as I do.
  • Judges 7:18 - When I and all who are with me blow the trumpet, then you also blow the trumpets around the entire camp and say, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon!’ ”
  • Judges 7:19 - So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle night watch, when they had just posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and smashed the pitchers that were in their hands.
  • Judges 7:20 - When the three units blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers, they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing, and shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!”
  • Judges 7:21 - And each stood in his place around the camp; and all the army ran, crying out as they fled.
  • Judges 7:22 - And when they blew the three hundred trumpets, the Lord set the sword of one against another even throughout the entire army; and the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the edge of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.
  • Judges 7:23 - And the men of Israel were summoned from Naphtali, Asher, and all Manasseh, and they pursued Midian.
  • Judges 7:24 - Then Gideon sent messengers throughout the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against Midian and take control of the waters ahead of them, as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan.” So all the men of Ephraim were summoned, and they took control of the waters as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan.
  • Judges 7:25 - And they captured the two leaders of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb, and they killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and they killed Zeeb at the wine press of Zeeb, while they pursued Midian; and they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon from across the Jordan.
  • Joshua 11:4 - Then they came out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots.
  • Joshua 11:5 - So all of these kings gathered together, and came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
  • Joshua 11:6 - Yet the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I am going to turn all of them over to Israel as good as dead; you shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

  • Joshua 11:8 - And the Lord handed them over to Israel, so that they defeated them, and pursued them as far as Great Sidon, and Misrephoth-maim, and the Valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they struck them until no survivor was left to them.

  • 1 Samuel 17:49 - And David put his hand into his bag and took from it a stone and slung it, and struck the Philistine on his forehead. And the stone penetrated his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.
  • 2 Chronicles 32:8 - With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

  • 1 Samuel 14:16 - Now Saul’s watchmen in Gibeah of Benjamin looked, and behold, the multitude dissolved; they went here and there.
