  • 2 Corinthians 7:9 - Now I am happy. I’m not happy because you were made sad. I’m happy because your sadness led you to turn away from your sins. You became sad just as God wanted you to. So you were not hurt in any way by us.
  • 2 Corinthians 7:10 - Godly sadness causes us to turn away from our sins and be saved. And we are certainly not sorry about that! But worldly sadness brings death.
  • John 7:34 - You will look for me, but you won’t find me. You can’t come where I am going.”

  • 2 Corinthians 6:2 - He says, “When I had mercy on you, I heard you. On the day I saved you, I helped you.” ( Isaiah 49:8 ) I tell you, now is the time God has mercy. Now is the day he saves.
  • Psalm 42:7 - You have sent wave upon wave of trouble over me. It roars down on me like a waterfall. All your waves and breakers have rolled over me.
  • Psalm 34:2 - I will find my glory in knowing the Lord. Let those who are hurting hear me and be joyful.
  • Psalm 34:3 - Join me in giving glory to the Lord. Let us honor him together.
  • Psalm 34:4 - I looked to the Lord, and he answered me. He saved me from everything I was afraid of.
  • Psalm 34:5 - Those who look to him have joyful faces. They are never covered with shame.
  • Isaiah 43:2 - You will pass through deep waters. But I will be with you. You will pass through the rivers. But their waters will not sweep over you. You will walk through fire. But you will not be burned. The flames will not harm you.
  • Isaiah 55:6 - Turn to the Lord before it’s too late. Call out to him while he’s still ready to help you.
