Numbers 18:24 - because I have given them the Israelites’ tithes, which have been presented as sacred offerings to the Lord. This will be the Levites’ share. That is why I said they would receive no allotment of land among the Israelites.”
Numbers 18:25 - The Lord also told Moses,
Numbers 18:26 - “Give these instructions to the Levites: When you receive from the people of Israel the tithes I have assigned as your allotment, give a tenth of the tithes you receive—a tithe of the tithe—to the Lord as a sacred offering.
Numbers 18:27 - The Lord will consider this offering to be your harvest offering, as though it were the first grain from your own threshing floor or wine from your own winepress.
Numbers 18:28 - You must present one-tenth of the tithe received from the Israelites as a sacred offering to the Lord. This is the Lord’s sacred portion, and you must present it to Aaron the priest.
1 Chronicles 26:20 - Other Levites, led by Ahijah, were in charge of the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the gifts dedicated to the Lord.
1 Chronicles 26:21 - From the family of Libni in the clan of Gershon, Jehiel was the leader.

1 Chronicles 26:24 - From the clan of Amram, Shebuel was a descendant of Gershom son of Moses. He was the chief officer of the treasuries.
1 Chronicles 26:25 - His relatives through Eliezer were Rehabiah, Jeshaiah, Joram, Zicri, and Shelomoth.
1 Chronicles 26:26 - Shelomoth and his relatives were in charge of the treasuries containing the gifts that King David, the family leaders, and the generals and captains and other officers of the army had dedicated to the Lord.
1 Chronicles 26:27 - These men dedicated some of the plunder they had gained in battle to maintain the house of the Lord.
Numbers 3:36 - These two clans were responsible for the care of the frames supporting the Tabernacle, the crossbars, the pillars, the bases, and all the equipment related to their use.
Numbers 3:37 - They were also responsible for the posts of the courtyard and all their bases, pegs, and ropes.
Numbers 3:38 - The area in front of the Tabernacle, in the east toward the sunrise, was reserved for the tents of Moses and of Aaron and his sons, who had the final responsibility for the sanctuary on behalf of the people of Israel. Anyone other than a priest or Levite who went too near the sanctuary was to be put to death.
Numbers 3:39 - When Moses and Aaron counted the Levite clans at the Lord’s command, the total number was 22,000 males one month old or older.
1 Chronicles 9:27 - They would spend the night around the house of God, since it was their duty to guard it and to open the gates every morning.
1 Chronicles 9:28 - Some of the gatekeepers were assigned to care for the various articles used in worship. They checked them in and out to avoid any loss.
1 Chronicles 9:29 - Others were responsible for the furnishings, the items in the sanctuary, and the supplies, such as choice flour, wine, olive oil, frankincense, and spices.
Hebrews 13:17 - Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.
Numbers 18:1 - Then the Lord said to Aaron: “You, your sons, and your relatives from the tribe of Levi will be held responsible for any offenses related to the sanctuary. But you and your sons alone will be held responsible for violations connected with the priesthood.
Numbers 18:2 - “Bring your relatives of the tribe of Levi—your ancestral tribe—to assist you and your sons as you perform the sacred duties in front of the Tabernacle of the Covenant.
Numbers 18:3 - But as the Levites go about all their assigned duties at the Tabernacle, they must be careful not to go near any of the sacred objects or the altar. If they do, both you and they will die.
Numbers 18:4 - The Levites must join you in fulfilling their responsibilities for the care and maintenance of the Tabernacle, but no unauthorized person may assist you.
Numbers 18:5 - “You yourselves must perform the sacred duties inside the sanctuary and at the altar. If you follow these instructions, the Lord’s anger will never again blaze against the people of Israel.
