Numbers 14:14 - Now if you destroy them, the Egyptians will send a report to the inhabitants of this land, who have already heard that you live among your people. They know, Lord, that you have appeared to your people face to face and that your pillar of cloud hovers over them. They know that you go before them in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.
1 Samuel 12:22 - The Lord will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the Lord to make you his very own people.
Nehemiah 9:31 - But in your great mercy, you did not destroy them completely or abandon them forever. What a gracious and merciful God you are!
Ezekiel 20:22 - Nevertheless, I withdrew my judgment against them to protect the honor of my name before the nations that had seen my power in bringing them out of Egypt.
Numbers 9:15 - On the day the Tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered it. But from evening until morning the cloud over the Tabernacle looked like a pillar of fire.
Numbers 9:16 - This was the regular pattern—at night the cloud that covered the Tabernacle had the appearance of fire.
Numbers 9:17 - Whenever the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel would break camp and follow it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel would set up camp.
Numbers 9:18 - In this way, they traveled and camped at the Lord’s command wherever he told them to go. Then they remained in their camp as long as the cloud stayed over the Tabernacle.
Numbers 9:19 - If the cloud remained over the Tabernacle for a long time, the Israelites stayed and performed their duty to the Lord.
Numbers 9:20 - Sometimes the cloud would stay over the Tabernacle for only a few days, so the people would stay for only a few days, as the Lord commanded. Then at the Lord’s command they would break camp and move on.
Numbers 9:21 - Sometimes the cloud stayed only overnight and lifted the next morning. But day or night, when the cloud lifted, the people broke camp and moved on.
Numbers 9:22 - Whether the cloud stayed above the Tabernacle for two days, a month, or a year, the people of Israel stayed in camp and did not move on. But as soon as it lifted, they broke camp and moved on.
Daniel 9:18 - “O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.
Psalms 106:7 - Our ancestors in Egypt were not impressed by the Lord’s miraculous deeds. They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them. Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea.
Psalms 106:8 - Even so, he saved them— to defend the honor of his name and to demonstrate his mighty power.
Daniel 9:9 - But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.
Exodus 40:38 - The cloud of the Lord hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys.
Exodus 13:21 - The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night.
Exodus 13:22 - And the Lord did not remove the pillar of cloud or pillar of fire from its place in front of the people.
Malachi 3:6 - “I am the Lord, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed.
Ezekiel 20:14 - But again I held back in order to protect the honor of my name before the nations who had seen my power in bringing Israel out of Egypt.
Isaiah 44:21 - “Pay attention, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I, the Lord, made you, and I will not forget you.
Psalms 106:45 - He remembered his covenant with them and relented because of his unfailing love.
Nehemiah 9:12 - You led our ancestors by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night so that they could find their way.
Nehemiah 9:27 - So you handed them over to their enemies, who made them suffer. But in their time of trouble they cried to you, and you heard them from heaven. In your great mercy, you sent them liberators who rescued them from their enemies.
