  • Mark 12:29 - Jesus answered, “The most important is: ‘Listen, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
  • Mark 12:30 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
  • Mark 12:31 - The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
  • Mark 12:32 - The expert in the law said to him, “That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him.
  • Mark 12:33 - And to love him with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
  • Mark 12:34 - When Jesus saw that he had answered thoughtfully, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” Then no one dared any longer to question him.
  • Galatians 5:13 - For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to indulge your flesh, but through love serve one another.
  • Galatians 5:14 - For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Romans 13:8 - Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
  • Romans 13:9 - For the commandments, “Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet,” (and if there is any other commandment) are summed up in this, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Romans 13:10 - Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
  • Luke 6:31 - Treat others in the same way that you would want them to treat you.
