  • 2 Corinthians 9:10 - For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:11 - Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:12 - So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:13 - As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:14 - And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:15 - Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!
  • Romans 12:20 - Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”
  • Daniel 4:27 - “‘King Nebuchadnezzar, please accept my advice. Stop sinning and do what is right. Break from your wicked past and be merciful to the poor. Perhaps then you will continue to prosper.’
  • Psalms 37:21 - The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers.
  • 1 Timothy 6:17 - Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
  • 1 Timothy 6:18 - Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.
  • 1 Timothy 6:19 - By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.
  • James 2:15 - Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing,
  • James 2:16 - and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?
  • Deuteronomy 15:7 - “But if there are any poor Israelites in your towns when you arrive in the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hard-hearted or tightfisted toward them.
  • Deuteronomy 15:8 - Instead, be generous and lend them whatever they need.
  • Deuteronomy 15:9 - Do not be mean-spirited and refuse someone a loan because the year for canceling debts is close at hand. If you refuse to make the loan and the needy person cries out to the Lord, you will be considered guilty of sin.
  • Deuteronomy 15:10 - Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.
  • Deuteronomy 15:11 - There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.
  • Deuteronomy 15:12 - “If a fellow Hebrew sells himself or herself to be your servant and serves you for six years, in the seventh year you must set that servant free.
  • Deuteronomy 15:13 - “When you release a male servant, do not send him away empty-handed.
  • Deuteronomy 15:14 - Give him a generous farewell gift from your flock, your threshing floor, and your winepress. Share with him some of the bounty with which the Lord your God has blessed you.
  • Psalms 112:5 - Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.
  • Psalms 112:6 - Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.
  • Psalms 112:7 - They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
  • Psalms 112:8 - They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.
  • Psalms 112:9 - They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.
  • Hebrews 13:16 - And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
  • Proverbs 19:17 - If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!
  • Luke 6:30 - Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back.
  • Luke 6:31 - Do to others as you would like them to do to you.
  • Luke 6:32 - “If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them!
  • Luke 6:33 - And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!
  • Luke 6:34 - And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners for a full return.
  • Luke 6:35 - “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.
  • Luke 6:36 - You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
