Isaiah 56:10 - For the leaders of my people— the Lord’s watchmen, his shepherds— are blind and ignorant. They are like silent watchdogs that give no warning when danger comes. They love to lie around, sleeping and dreaming.
Isaiah 56:11 - Like greedy dogs, they are never satisfied. They are ignorant shepherds, all following their own path and intent on personal gain.
Mark 7:10 - For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’
Mark 7:11 - But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given to you.’
Mark 7:12 - In this way, you let them disregard their needy parents.
Mark 7:13 - And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others.”
Galatians 5:3 - I’ll say it again. If you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must obey every regulation in the whole law of Moses.
Matthew 23:17 - Blind fools! Which is more important—the gold or the Temple that makes the gold sacred?
Matthew 23:19 - How blind! For which is more important—the gift on the altar or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
James 5:12 - But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned.

Matthew 23:26 - You blind Pharisee! First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too.
Matthew 23:24 - Blind guides! You strain your water so you won’t accidentally swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel!
Matthew 5:33 - “You have also heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not break your vows; you must carry out the vows you make to the Lord.’
Matthew 5:34 - But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne.
Matthew 5:35 - And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King.
Matthew 15:14 - so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”
