  • Luke 14:12 - He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.
  • Luke 14:13 - But when you host an elaborate meal, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.
  • Luke 14:14 - Then you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

  • 2 Corinthians 9:14 - And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you.

  • Proverbs 14:31 - The one who oppresses the poor insults his Creator, but whoever shows favor to the needy honors him.

  • Isaiah 58:7 - I want you to share your food with the hungry and to provide shelter for homeless, oppressed people. When you see someone naked, clothe him! Don’t turn your back on your own flesh and blood!

  • Isaiah 58:11 - The Lord will continually lead you; he will feed you even in parched regions. He will give you renewed strength, and you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring that continually produces water.
