  • Zechariah 9:9 - Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King (Messianic King) is coming to you; He is righteous and endowed with salvation, Humble and unassuming [in submission to the will of the Father] and riding on a donkey, Upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.
  • Luke 19:38 - shouting, “Blessed (celebrated, praised) is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory (majesty, splendor) in the highest [heaven]!”
  • Luke 19:39 - Some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples [for shouting these Messianic praises].”
  • Luke 19:40 - Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these [people] keep silent, the stones will cry out [in praise]!”
  • John 19:3 - and they kept coming up to Him, saying [mockingly], “Hail, King of the Jews [Good health! Peace! Long life to you, King of the Jews]!” And they slapped Him in the face.
  • Luke 23:3 - So Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answered him, “It is just as you say.”
  • Luke 23:4 - Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no guilt in this Man.”
  • John 18:37 - So Pilate said to Him, “Then You are a King?” Jesus answered, “You say [correctly] that I am a King. This is why I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth.   • Zephaniah 3:15 - The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, even the Lord [Himself], is in your midst; You will no longer fear disaster.
  • Jeremiah 23:5 - “Behold (listen closely), the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as King and act wisely And will do [those things that accomplish] justice and righteousness in the land.
