2 Chronicles 29:10 - Now I intend to make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel, so that his fierce anger will turn away from us.
Exodus 23:10 - “For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops,
Exodus 23:11 - but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what is left. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
2 Chronicles 15:12 - They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul.
2 Chronicles 15:13 - All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

Jeremiah 34:14 - ‘Every seventh year each of you must free any fellow Hebrews who have sold themselves to you. After they have served you six years, you must let them go free.’ Your ancestors, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to me.
Jeremiah 34:15 - Recently you repented and did what is right in my sight: Each of you proclaimed freedom to your own people. You even made a covenant before me in the house that bears my Name.
2 Chronicles 23:16 - Jehoiada then made a covenant that he, the people and the king would be the Lord’s people.
Exodus 21:2 - “If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything.

2 Chronicles 34:32 - Then he had everyone in Jerusalem and Benjamin pledge themselves to it; the people of Jerusalem did this in accordance with the covenant of God, the God of their ancestors.
2 Chronicles 34:33 - Josiah removed all the detestable idols from all the territory belonging to the Israelites, and he had all who were present in Israel serve the Lord their God. As long as he lived, they did not fail to follow the Lord, the God of their ancestors.
Leviticus 25:39 - “ ‘If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and sell themselves to you, do not make them work as slaves.
Leviticus 25:40 - They are to be treated as hired workers or temporary residents among you; they are to work for you until the Year of Jubilee.
Leviticus 25:41 - Then they and their children are to be released, and they will go back to their own clans and to the property of their ancestors.
Leviticus 25:42 - Because the Israelites are my servants, whom I brought out of Egypt, they must not be sold as slaves.
Leviticus 25:43 - Do not rule over them ruthlessly, but fear your God.
Leviticus 25:44 - “ ‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves.
Leviticus 25:45 - You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.
Leviticus 25:46 - You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.
Nehemiah 5:1 - Now the men and their wives raised a great outcry against their fellow Jews.
Nehemiah 5:2 - Some were saying, “We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive, we must get grain.”
Nehemiah 5:3 - Others were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine.”
Nehemiah 5:4 - Still others were saying, “We have had to borrow money to pay the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards.
Nehemiah 5:5 - Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our fellow Jews and though our children are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others.”
Nehemiah 5:6 - When I heard their outcry and these charges, I was very angry.
Nehemiah 5:7 - I pondered them in my mind and then accused the nobles and officials. I told them, “You are charging your own people interest!” So I called together a large meeting to deal with them
Nehemiah 5:8 - and said: “As far as possible, we have bought back our fellow Jews who were sold to the Gentiles. Now you are selling your own people, only for them to be sold back to us!” They kept quiet, because they could find nothing to say.
Nehemiah 5:9 - So I continued, “What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies?
Nehemiah 5:10 - I and my brothers and my men are also lending the people money and grain. But let us stop charging interest!
Nehemiah 5:11 - Give back to them immediately their fields, vineyards, olive groves and houses, and also the interest you are charging them—one percent of the money, grain, new wine and olive oil.”
Nehemiah 5:12 - “We will give it back,” they said. “And we will not demand anything more from them. We will do as you say.” Then I summoned the priests and made the nobles and officials take an oath to do what they had promised.
Nehemiah 5:13 - I also shook out the folds of my robe and said, “In this way may God shake out of their house and possessions anyone who does not keep this promise. So may such a person be shaken out and emptied!” At this the whole assembly said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord. And the people did as they had promised.

Jeremiah 34:17 - “Therefore this is what the Lord says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom to your own people. So I now proclaim ‘freedom’ for you, declares the Lord—‘freedom’ to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth.
2 Kings 11:17 - Jehoiada then made a covenant between the Lord and the king and people that they would be the Lord’s people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
Leviticus 25:10 - Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan.
