Isaiah 51:19 - These two things have happened to you; Who will mourn for you? The devastation and destruction, famine and sword; How shall I comfort you?
Isaiah 51:20 - Your sons have fainted, They lie helpless at the head of every street, Like an antelope in a net, Full of the wrath of the Lord, The rebuke of your God.
Isaiah 51:21 - Therefore, listen to this, you afflicted, Who are drunk, but not with wine:
Isaiah 51:22 - This is what your Lord, the Lord, your God Who contends for His people says: “Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering, The chalice of My anger; You will never drink it again.
Jeremiah 25:11 - This entire land will be a place of ruins and an object of horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.
Nehemiah 9:36 - Behold, we are slaves today, And as for the land which You gave to our fathers to eat its fruit and its bounty, Behold, we are slaves on it.

Jeremiah 21:6 - I will also strike the inhabitants of this city, both the people and the animals; they will die of a great plague.
Jeremiah 21:7 - Then afterward,” declares the Lord, “I will hand Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, that is, those who survive in this city from the plague, the sword, and the famine, over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to their enemies, and to those who seek their lives; and he will strike and kill them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion.” ’
Jeremiah 21:8 - “You shall also say to this people, ‘This is what the Lord says: “Behold, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.
Jeremiah 21:9 - Anyone who stays in this city will die by the sword, by famine, or by plague; but anyone who leaves and goes over to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as plunder.
Jeremiah 21:10 - For I have set My face against this city for harm and not for good,” declares the Lord. “It will be handed over to the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.” ’
1 Peter 4:17 - For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Amos 2:5 - So I will send fire upon Judah, And it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem.”
Jeremiah 25:9 - behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and hissing, and an everlasting place of ruins.
Jeremiah 19:3 - and say, ‘Hear the word of the Lord, you kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold I am going to bring a disaster upon this place, at which the ears of everyone that hears of it will tingle.
Jeremiah 19:4 - Since they have abandoned Me and have made this place foreign, and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and since they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent
Jeremiah 19:5 - and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I did not command nor speak of, nor did it ever enter My mind;
Jeremiah 19:6 - therefore, behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when this place will no longer be called Topheth or the Valley of Ben-hinnom, but rather the Valley of Slaughter.
Jeremiah 19:7 - And I will frustrate the planning of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their life; and I will make their carcasses food for the birds of the sky and the animals of the earth.
Jeremiah 19:8 - I will also turn this city into an object of horror and hissing; everyone who passes by it will be appalled and hiss because of all its disasters.
Jeremiah 19:9 - And I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they will eat one another’s flesh during the siege and in the hardship with which their enemies and those who seek their life will torment them.” ’
Ezra 9:7 - Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and because of our wrongful deeds we, our kings, and our priests have been handed over to the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plunder, and to open shame, as it is this day.
1 Kings 8:24 - You who have kept with Your servant, my father David, that which You promised him; You have spoken with Your mouth and have fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day.
Ezekiel 9:5 - But to the others He said in my presence, “Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity and do not spare.

Ezekiel 9:7 - He also said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courtyards with the dead. Go out!” So they went out and struck and killed the people in the city.
Ezekiel 9:8 - And as they were striking the people and I alone was left, I fell on my face and cried out, saying, “Oh, Lord God! Are You going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel by pouring out Your wrath on Jerusalem?”
Joshua 6:18 - But as for you, only keep yourselves from the things designated for destruction, so that you do not covet them and take some of the designated things, and turn the camp of Israel into something designated for destruction and bring disaster on it.
2 Kings 22:19 - since your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become an object of horror and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before Me, I have indeed heard you,’ declares the Lord.”
Amos 3:2 - “You only have I known among all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your wrongdoing.”
Jeremiah 24:9 - I will make them an object of terror and an evil for all the kingdoms of the earth, as a disgrace and a proverb, a taunt and a curse in all the places where I will scatter them.
Jeremiah 44:22 - So the Lord was no longer able to endure it, because of the evil of your deeds, because of the abominations which you have committed; so your land has become a place of ruins, an object of horror, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day.
Psalms 60:3 - You have made Your people experience hardship; You have given us wine to drink that makes us stagger.
