These have been purchased and redeemed from among men [of Israel] as the first fruits [sanctified and set apart for special service] for God and the Lamb.

Exodus 19:6 - and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation [set apart for My purpose].’ These are the words that you shall speak to the Israelites.”
Jeremiah 50:7 - All who found them have devoured them; And their adversaries have said, ‘We are not guilty, Because they have sinned against the Lord [and are no longer holy to Him], their [true] habitation of righteousness and justice, Even the Lord, the [confident] hope of their fathers.’
James 1:18 - It was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes].
