1 Kings 17:18 - Then she said to Elijah, “O man of God, what have you done to me? Have you come here to point out my sins and kill my son?”
1 Kings 17:19 - But Elijah replied, “Give me your son.” And he took the child’s body from her arms, carried him up the stairs to the room where he was staying, and laid the body on his bed.
1 Kings 17:20 - Then Elijah cried out to the Lord, “O Lord my God, why have you brought tragedy to this widow who has opened her home to me, causing her son to die?”
1 Kings 17:21 - And he stretched himself out over the child three times and cried out to the Lord, “O Lord my God, please let this child’s life return to him.”
1 Kings 17:22 - The Lord heard Elijah’s prayer, and the life of the child returned, and he revived!
1 Kings 17:23 - Then Elijah brought him down from the upper room and gave him to his mother. “Look!” he said. “Your son is alive!”
1 Kings 17:24 - Then the woman told Elijah, “Now I know for sure that you are a man of God, and that the Lord truly speaks through you.”
Exodus 9:28 - Please beg the Lord to end this terrifying thunder and hail. We’ve had enough. I will let you go; you don’t need to stay any longer.”
Exodus 9:29 - “All right,” Moses replied. “As soon as I leave the city, I will lift my hands and pray to the Lord. Then the thunder and hail will stop, and you will know that the earth belongs to the Lord.

Genesis 18:27 - Then Abraham spoke again. “Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes.
Genesis 18:28 - Suppose there are only forty-five righteous people rather than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?” And the Lord said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five righteous people there.”
Genesis 18:29 - Then Abraham pressed his request further. “Suppose there are only forty?” And the Lord replied, “I will not destroy it for the sake of the forty.”
Genesis 18:30 - “Please don’t be angry, my Lord,” Abraham pleaded. “Let me speak—suppose only thirty righteous people are found?” And the Lord replied, “I will not destroy it if I find thirty.”
Genesis 18:31 - Then Abraham said, “Since I have dared to speak to the Lord, let me continue—suppose there are only twenty?” And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the twenty.”
Genesis 18:32 - Finally, Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

Luke 18:1 - One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.
Luke 18:2 - “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people.

Luke 18:4 - The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people,
Luke 18:5 - but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
Luke 18:6 - Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.
Luke 18:7 - Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
Luke 18:8 - I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

2 Kings 20:5 - “Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.
