  • Judges 16:17 - Finally he told her his secret. He said to her, “My hair has never been cut, for I have been dedicated to God from the time I was conceived. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me; I would become weak, and be just like all other men.”
  • Judges 16:18 - When Delilah saw that he had told her his secret, she sent for the rulers of the Philistines, saying, “Come up here again, for he has told me his secret.” So the rulers of the Philistines went up to visit her, bringing the silver in their hands.
  • Judges 16:19 - She made him go to sleep on her lap and then called a man in to shave off the seven braids of his hair. She made him vulnerable and his strength left him.
  • Judges 16:20 - She said, “The Philistines are here, Samson!” He woke up and thought, “I will do as I did before and shake myself free.” But he did not realize that the Lord had left him.
  • Ephesians 5:3 - But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints.
  • Ephesians 5:4 - Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting – all of which are out of character – but rather thanksgiving.
  • 1 Kings 21:5 - Then his wife Jezebel came in and said to him, “Why do you have a bitter attitude and refuse to eat?”
  • 1 Kings 21:6 - He answered her, “While I was talking to Naboth the Jezreelite, I said to him, ‘Sell me your vineyard for silver, or if you prefer, I will give you another vineyard in its place.’ But he said, ‘I will not sell you my vineyard.’”
  • 1 Kings 21:7 - His wife Jezebel said to him, “You are the king of Israel! Get up, eat some food, and have a good time. I will get the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite for you.”
  • 1 Kings 21:8 - She wrote out orders, signed Ahab’s name to them, and sealed them with his seal. She then sent the orders to the leaders and to the nobles who lived in Naboth’s city.
  • 1 Kings 21:9 - This is what she wrote: “Observe a time of fasting and seat Naboth in front of the people.
  • 1 Kings 21:10 - Also seat two villains opposite him and have them testify, ‘You cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”
  • 1 Kings 21:11 - The men of the city, the leaders and the nobles who lived there, followed the written orders Jezebel had sent them.
  • 1 Kings 21:12 - They observed a time of fasting and put Naboth in front of the people.
  • 1 Kings 21:13 - The two villains arrived and sat opposite him. Then the villains testified against Naboth right before the people, saying, “Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they dragged him outside the city and stoned him to death.
  • 1 Kings 21:14 - Then they reported to Jezebel, “Naboth has been stoned to death.”
  • 1 Kings 21:15 - When Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab, “Get up, take possession of the vineyard Naboth the Jezreelite refused to sell you for silver, for Naboth is no longer alive; he’s dead.”
  • Revelation 19:20 - Now the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf – signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.
  • Mark 14:55 - The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find anything.
  • Mark 14:56 - Many gave false testimony against him, but their testimony did not agree.
  • Mark 14:57 - Some stood up and gave this false testimony against him:
  • 2 Chronicles 10:13 - The king responded to the people harshly. He rejected the advice of the older men
  • 2 Chronicles 10:14 - and followed the advice of the younger ones. He said, “My father imposed heavy demands on you; I will make them even heavier. My father punished you with ordinary whips; I will punish you with whips that really sting your flesh.”
  • 2 Chronicles 10:15 - The king refused to listen to the people, because God was instigating this turn of events so that he might bring to pass the prophetic announcement he had made through Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam son of Nebat.
  • 2 Chronicles 10:16 - When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, the people answered the king, “We have no portion in David – no share in the son of Jesse! Return to your homes, O Israel! Now, look after your own dynasty, O David!” So all Israel returned to their homes.
  • 2 Samuel 13:26 - Then Absalom said, “If you will not go, then let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king replied to him, “Why should he go with you?”
  • 2 Samuel 13:27 - But when Absalom pressed him, he sent Amnon and all the king’s sons along with him.
  • 2 Samuel 13:28 - Absalom instructed his servants, “Look! When Amnon is drunk and I say to you, ‘Strike Amnon down,’ kill him then and there. Don’t fear! Is it not I who have given you these instructions? Be strong and courageous!”
  • 2 Samuel 13:29 - So Absalom’s servants did to Amnon exactly what Absalom had instructed. Then all the king’s sons got up; each one rode away on his mule and fled.
  • 2 Samuel 15:2 - Now Absalom used to get up early and stand beside the road that led to the city gate. Whenever anyone came by who had a complaint to bring to the king for arbitration, Absalom would call out to him, “What city are you from?” The person would answer, “I, your servant, am from one of the tribes of Israel.”
  • 2 Samuel 15:3 - Absalom would then say to him, “Look, your claims are legitimate and appropriate. But there is no representative of the king who will listen to you.”
  • 2 Samuel 15:4 - Absalom would then say, “If only they would make me a judge in the land! Then everyone who had a judicial complaint could come to me and I would make sure he receives a just settlement.”
  • 2 Samuel 15:5 - When someone approached to bow before him, Absalom would extend his hand and embrace him and kiss him.
  • 2 Samuel 15:6 - Absalom acted this way toward everyone in Israel who came to the king for justice. In this way Absalom won the loyalty of the citizens of Israel.
  • Isaiah 30:27 - Look, the name of the Lord comes from a distant place in raging anger and awesome splendor. He speaks angrily and his word is like destructive fire.
  • Proverbs 6:19 - a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who spreads discord among family members.
  • Numbers 31:16 - Look, these people through the counsel of Balaam caused the Israelites to act treacherously against the Lord in the matter of Peor – which resulted in the plague among the community of the Lord!
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:9 - The arrival of the lawless one will be by Satan’s working with all kinds of miracles and signs and false wonders,
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:10 - and with every kind of evil deception directed against those who are perishing, because they found no place in their hearts for the truth so as to be saved.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - Consequently God sends on them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:12 - And so all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned.
  • Proverbs 1:10 - My child, if sinners try to entice you, do not consent!
  • Proverbs 1:11 - If they say, “Come with us! We will lie in wait to shed blood; we will ambush an innocent person capriciously.
  • Proverbs 1:12 - We will swallow them alive like Sheol, those full of vigor like those going down to the Pit.
  • Proverbs 1:13 - We will seize all kinds of precious wealth; we will fill our houses with plunder.

  • Titus 1:11 - who must be silenced because they mislead whole families by teaching for dishonest gain what ought not to be taught.
  • Revelation 13:14 - and, by the signs he was permitted to perform on behalf of the beast, he deceived those who live on the earth. He told those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who had been wounded by the sword, but still lived.
  • Jeremiah 20:10 - I hear many whispering words of intrigue against me. Those who would cause me terror are everywhere! They are saying, “Come on, let’s publicly denounce him!” All my so-called friends are just watching for something that would lead to my downfall. They say, “Perhaps he can be enticed into slipping up, so we can prevail over him and get our revenge on him.
  • Jeremiah 28:16 - So the Lord says, ‘I will most assuredly remove you from the face of the earth. You will die this very year because you have counseled rebellion against the Lord.’”
  • 3 John 1:10 - Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to the deeds he is doing – the bringing of unjustified charges against us with evil words! And not being content with that, he not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but hinders the people who want to do so and throws them out of the church!
  • James 2:7 - Do they not blaspheme the good name of the one you belong to?
  • Jude 1:8 - Yet these men, as a result of their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and insult the glorious ones.
  • Jude 1:9 - But even when Michael the archangel was arguing with the devil and debating with him concerning Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a slanderous judgment, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”
  • Jude 1:10 - But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend.
  • Matthew 12:32 - Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

  • Matthew 15:20 - These are the things that defile a person; it is not eating with unwashed hands that defiles a person.”
  • Colossians 3:8 - But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.

  • Psalms 120:2 - I said, “O Lord, rescue me from those who lie with their lips and those who deceive with their tongue.
  • Psalms 120:3 - How will he severely punish you, you deceptive talker?
