  • Jeremiah 9:12 - Who is wise enough to understand all this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it to others? Why has the land been so ruined that no one dares to travel through it?

  • Ecclesiastes 8:1 - How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.
  • 1 Peter 2:9 - But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
  • 1 Peter 3:15 - Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
  • 1 Peter 3:16 - But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.
  • 1 Timothy 6:11 - But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
  • James 2:18 - Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”
  • Philippians 1:27 - Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.
  • Titus 3:2 - They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.
  • 1 Peter 2:12 - Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.
  • 2 Timothy 2:25 - Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.
  • Colossians 3:12 - Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
  • Matthew 5:5 - God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.
  • James 3:17 - But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
  • Galatians 5:23 - gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
