  • Hosea 4:2 - By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.
  • Ezekiel 22:24 - “Son of man, say to her: ‘You are a land that is not cleansed or rained on in the day of indignation.’
  • Ezekiel 22:25 - The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured people; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in her midst.

  • Ezekiel 22:28 - Her prophets plastered them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord had not spoken.
  • Ezekiel 22:29 - The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger.
  • Ezekiel 22:30 - So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.
  • Jeremiah 5:25 - Your iniquities have turned these things away, And your sins have withheld good from you.

  • Nehemiah 9:33 - However You are just in all that has befallen us; For You have dealt faithfully, But we have done wickedly.

  • Jeremiah 5:6 - Therefore a lion from the forest shall slay them, A wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; A leopard will watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces, Because their transgressions are many; Their backslidings have increased.
  • Jeremiah 5:7 - “How shall I pardon you for this? Your children have forsaken Me And sworn by those that are not gods. When I had fed them to the full, Then they committed adultery And assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.
  • Jeremiah 5:8 - They were like well-fed lusty stallions; Every one neighed after his neighbor’s wife.
  • Jeremiah 5:9 - Shall I not punish them for these things?” says the Lord. “And shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?
  • Isaiah 1:4 - Alas, sinful nation, A people laden with iniquity, A brood of evildoers, Children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, They have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, They have turned away backward.

  • Ezra 9:6 - And I said: “O my God, I am too ashamed and humiliated to lift up my face to You, my God; for our iniquities have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has grown up to the heavens.
