  • Zechariah 9:5 - Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also, and shall be sore pained; and Ekron, for her expectation shall be put to shame; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

  • Amos 1:6 - Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Gaza, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole people, to deliver them up to Edom:
  • Amos 1:7 - but I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
  • Amos 1:8 - And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon; and I will turn my hand against Ekron; and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord Jehovah.
  • Zephaniah 2:4 - For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation; they shall drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
  • Zephaniah 2:5 - Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea-coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Jehovah is against you, O Canaan, the land of the Philistines; I will destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
  • Zephaniah 2:6 - And the sea-coast shall be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks.
  • Zephaniah 2:7 - And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed their flocks thereupon; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for Jehovah their God will visit them, and bring back their captivity.
  • Isaiah 7:21 - And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall keep alive a young cow, and two sheep;
  • Isaiah 7:22 - and it shall come to pass, that because of the abundance of milk which they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the midst of the land.
