  • Leviticus 22:19 - so that you may be accepted—it must be a male without blemish from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats.
  • Leviticus 22:20 - You shall not offer anything which has a blemish, because it will not be accepted for you.
  • Leviticus 22:21 - Whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord to fulfill a special vow to the Lord or as a freewill offering from the herd or from the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it.
  • Leviticus 22:22 - Animals that are blind or fractured or mutilated, or have a sore or a running wound or an itch or scabs, you shall not offer to the Lord nor make an offering of them by fire on the altar to the Lord.
  • Leviticus 22:23 - For a freewill offering you may offer either a bull or a lamb which has an overgrown or stunted member (deformity), but for [the payment of] a vow it will not be accepted.
  • Leviticus 22:24 - You shall not offer to the Lord any animal which has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut off, or sacrifice it in your land.
  • Leviticus 22:25 - Nor shall you offer as the food of your God any such [animals obtained] from a foreigner, because their corruption and blemish makes them unfit; there is a defect in them, they shall not be accepted for you.’ ”
  • Leviticus 22:26 - Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
  • Leviticus 22:27 - “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall remain for seven days with its mother; and after the eighth day it shall be accepted as an offering by fire to the Lord.
  • Leviticus 22:28 - And whether [the mother] is a cow or a sheep, you shall not kill both it and its young in one day.
  • Leviticus 22:29 - When you sacrifice an offering of thanksgiving to the Lord, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.
  • Leviticus 22:30 - It shall be eaten on the same day; you shall leave none of it until the next morning; I am the Lord.
  • Leviticus 22:31 - So you shall keep My commandments and do them; I am the Lord.
  • Leviticus 22:32 - “You shall not profane My holy name [using it to honor an idol, or treating it with irreverence or contempt or as a byword]; but I will be sanctified (set apart as holy) among the Israelites. I am the Lord, who sanctifies and declares you holy,
  • Leviticus 22:33 - who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the Lord.”
  • 1 Chronicles 23:32 - So they shall be responsible for the Tent of Meeting, the Holy Place, and the sons of Aaron their relatives, for the service of the house of the Lord.
  • Acts 7:53 - you who received the law as ordained and delivered to you by angels, and yet you did not obey it!”
  • Numbers 18:7 - Therefore you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything concerning the altar [of burnt offering and the altar of incense] and [of the Holy of Holies] within the veil, and you are to serve. I am giving you the priesthood as a bestowed service, but the stranger (outsider, layman) who approaches shall be put to death.”
  • Ezekiel 44:16 - “They shall enter into My sanctuary; and they shall come near to My table to minister to Me and they shall perform [the priestly] duty to me.
  • Ezra 8:24 - Then I set apart twelve leading priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers (relatives),
  • Ezra 8:25 - and I weighed out to them the silver, the gold, and the utensils, the offering for the house of our God which the king, his advisers, his officials, and all Israel who were present there had offered.
  • Ezra 8:26 - I weighed into their hands 650 talents of silver, and silver utensils worth 100 talents, and 100 talents of gold;
  • Ezra 8:27 - also 20 bowls of gold worth 1,000 darics, and two utensils of fine shiny bronze, precious as gold.
  • Ezra 8:28 - Then I said to them, “You are holy to the Lord, the utensils are holy, and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering to the Lord God of your fathers.
  • Ezra 8:29 - Guard and keep them until you weigh them before the leading priests and the Levites and the leaders of the fathers’ households of Israel in Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord.”
  • Ezra 8:30 - So the priests and the Levites received the weighed out silver and gold, and the utensils, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.
  • 1 Timothy 6:13 - I solemnly charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and [in the presence] of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession [in His testimony] before Pontius Pilate,
