1. Chronik 25:2 - Von Asafs Familie: Sakkur, Josef, Netanja und Asarela, die Söhne von Asaf. Ihr Vater war der Leiter dieser Gruppe, er dichtete im Auftrag des Königs prophetische Lieder.
1. Chronik 25:3 - Von Jedutuns Familie: Gedalja, Zeri, Jesaja, Schimi , Haschabja und Mattitja, die sechs Söhne von Jedutun. Ihr Vater leitete diese Gruppe. Er begleitete den prophetischen Gesang mit der Laute, um den Herrn zu loben und zu preisen.
1. Chronik 25:4 - Von Hemans Familie: Bukkija, Mattanja, Usiël, Schubaël, Jerimot, Hananja, Hanani, Eliata, Giddalti, Romamti-Eser, Joschbekascha, Malloti, Hotir und Mahasiot.
1. Chronik 25:5 - Sie alle waren Söhne von Heman, einem Seher, der in Davids Dienst stand. Gott hatte Heman verheißen, ihn zu einem mächtigen und angesehenen Mann zu machen, darum hatte er ihm vierzehn Söhne und drei Töchter geschenkt.
1. Chronik 25:6 - Diese drei Familien begleiteten den Gesang im Tempel des Herrn mit Zimbeln, Harfen und Lauten. Ihre Väter Asaf, Jedutun und Heman waren verantwortlich für den Gesang und die Musikbegleitung. Sie versahen ihren Dienst so, wie der König es angeordnet hatte.
1. Chronik 25:7 - Insgesamt wurden 288 Leviten für den Gesang im Tempel ausgebildet. Sie alle waren ausgezeichnete Sänger.
1. Chronik 25:8 - Auch ihre Diensteinteilung wurde durch das Los bestimmt. Alle wurden gleich behandelt, die Jungen wie die Alten, der Lehrer wie der Schüler.
1. Chronik 25:9 - Es wurden 24 Dienstgruppen ausgelost, und jede bestand aus 12 Männern. Folgende Männer bildeten mit ihren Söhnen und Verwandten je eine Gruppe: 1. Josef aus der Sippe Asaf; 2. Gedalja; 3. Sakkur; 4. Zeri; 5. Netanja; 6. Bukkija; 7. Asarela; 8. Jesaja; 9. Mattanja; 10. Schimi; 11. Asarel; 12. Haschabja; 13. Schubaël; 14. Mattitja; 15. Jeremot; 16. Hananja; 17. Joschbekascha; 18. Hanani; 19. Malloti; 20. Eliata; 21. Hotir; 22. Giddalti; 23. Mahasiot; 24. Romamti-Eser.
Hesekiel 40:27 - Auch diesem Tor lag ein Tor gegenüber, das zum inneren Vorhof führte. Der Mann maß den Abstand aus; es waren wiederum 50 Meter.
1. Chronik 16:41 - Heman, Jedutun und noch weitere Sänger schickte David mit den Priestern nach Gibeon. Sie sollten dort mit ihren Liedern den Herrn dafür loben, dass seine Gnade nie aufhört.
1. Chronik 16:42 - Sie nahmen Trompeten, Zimbeln und andere Instrumente mit, die zur Ehre Gottes den Gesang begleiten sollten. Jedutuns Söhne hatten den Zelteingang zu bewachen.
1. Chronik 16:43 - Als die Feier vorüber war, machten sich alle auf den Heimweg. Auch David ging nach Hause, um seine eigene Familie zu segnen .
Hesekiel 40:23 - Wie beim Osttor befand sich genau gegenüber ein höher gelegenes Tor, durch das man in den inneren Vorhof gelangte. Der Mann maß den Abstand zwischen beiden, und es waren auch hier 50 Meter.
