2 Chronicles 30:11 - Yet some of the men of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 30:12 - Also the hand of God was on Judah to give them one heart to do that which the king and the officials had commanded by the word of the Lord.
2 Chronicles 30:13 - Now many people were gathered at Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month; it was a very large assembly.
2 Chronicles 30:14 - They took action and removed the [pagan] altars which were in Jerusalem; they also removed all the incense altars and threw them into the Brook Kidron [the dumping place for the ashes of such repulsive things].
2 Chronicles 30:15 - Then they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed of themselves, and consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings to the house of the Lord.
2 Chronicles 30:16 - They stood at their accustomed stations, in accordance with the Law of Moses, the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood [which they received] from the hand of the Levites [on the altar].
2 Chronicles 30:17 - For there were many in the assembly who had not consecrated themselves [that is, become ceremonially clean and free from all sin]; so the Levites had to slaughter the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, in order to make them holy for the Lord.
2 Chronicles 30:18 - For the majority of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not purified themselves, and yet they ate the Passover contrary to what had been prescribed. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord pardon
1 Kings 12:16 - So when all [the ten northern tribes of] Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people replied to the king, saying, “What portion do we have in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse; To your tents, O Israel! Look now after your own house, David!” Then Israel went back to their tents.
1 Kings 12:17 - But as for the sons (descendants) of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah [including Benjamin], Rehoboam reigned over them.
1 Kings 12:18 - Then King Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was in charge of the forced labor [to represent him], and all Israel stoned him to death. And King Rehoboam quickly mounted his chariot to escape to Jerusalem.
1 Kings 12:19 - So Israel (the ten northern tribes) has rebelled against the house (royal line) of David to this day (the date of this writing).
1 Kings 12:20 - It came about when all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, that they sent word and called him to the assembly and made him king over all Israel. None followed the house of David except the tribe of Judah [including Benjamin].
2 Chronicles 11:11 - He strengthened the fortresses and put officers in them, with supplies of food, [olive] oil, and wine.
2 Chronicles 11:12 - And in each city he put [large] shields and spears, and made them very strong. So he held Judah and Benjamin.
2 Chronicles 11:13 - Further, the priests and the Levites who were in all Israel took their stand with Rehoboam from all their districts.
2 Chronicles 11:14 - For the Levites left their pasture lands and their property and came to Judah and Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons had excluded them from serving as priests to the Lord.
2 Chronicles 11:15 - Jeroboam appointed his own priests for the high places, for the satyrs (goat demons) and calves (idols) which he had made.
2 Chronicles 11:16 - Those from all the tribes of Israel who set their hearts on seeking the Lord God of Israel followed them to Jerusalem, to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.
2 Chronicles 11:17 - So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam the son of Solomon for three years; for they walked in the way of David and Solomon for three years.
2 Chronicles 10:19 - And Israel has rebelled against the house of David to this day.
Numbers 17:2 - “Speak to the sons of Israel and get rods from them, a rod for each father’s household, from all their leaders according to their fathers’ households, twelve rods. Write every man’s name on his rod,
Numbers 17:3 - and write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi [his ancestor]; for there is one rod for the head of each of their fathers’ households.
2 Chronicles 10:17 - But as for the Israelites who lived in Judah’s cities, Rehoboam ruled over them.
