예레미야 42:4 - 그래서 나는 그들에게 대답하였다. “내가 당신들의 말을 들었으니 당신들이 요구한 대로 우리 하나님 여호와께 기도하여 여호와께서 말씀하시는 것을 하나도 숨김 없이 당신들에게 말해 주겠소.”
예레미야 42:5 - 그러자 그들이 나에게 말하였다. “만일 우리가 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 당신을 통해 우리에게 주시는 모든 말씀에 순종하지 않는다면 우리 사이에 여호와께서 참되고 진실한 증인이 되시기를 바랍니다.
예레미야 42:6 - 우리가 당신을 하나님께 보내 기도해 달라고 부탁하였으니 우리 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 좋은 것이든 아니든 우리는 그 말씀에 순종하겠습니다. 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와께 순종하면 우리에게 모든 일이 다 잘 될 것입니다.”
이사야 29:13 - 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “이 백성이 입으로는 나를 가까이하고 입술로는 나를 존경하나 마음은 내게서 멀리 떠나 있다. 그들의 신앙은 사람의 가르침이나 규정에 얽매여 있다.
