Micah 6:10 - Is there still a person in the wicked house, Along with treasures of wickedness, And a short measure that is cursed?
Micah 6:11 - Can I justify dishonest balances, And a bag of fraudulent weights?
Micah 6:12 - For the rich people of the city are full of violence, Her residents speak lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
Jeremiah 5:25 - Your wrongdoings have turned these away, And your sins have kept good away from you.
Jeremiah 5:26 - For wicked people are found among My people, They watch like fowlers lying in wait; They set a trap, They catch people.
Jeremiah 5:27 - Like a cage full of birds, So their houses are full of deceit; Therefore they have become great and rich.
Jeremiah 5:28 - They are fat, they are sleek, They also excel in deeds of wickedness; They do not plead the cause, The cause of the orphan, so that they may be successful; And they do not defend the rights of the poor.
Jeremiah 5:29 - Shall I not punish them for these things?’ declares the Lord, ‘Or shall I not avenge Myself On a nation such as this?’
Jeremiah 5:30 - “An appalling and horrible thing Has happened in the land:
Jeremiah 5:31 - The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule on their own authority; And My people love it this way! But what will you do when the end comes?
Jeremiah 5:1 - “Roam about through the streets of Jerusalem, And look and take notice. And seek in her public squares, If you can find a person, If there is one who does justice, who seeks honesty, Then I will forgive her.
Jeremiah 5:2 - And although they say, ‘As the Lord lives,’ Certainly they swear falsely.”
Jeremiah 5:3 - Lord, do Your eyes not look for honesty? You have struck them, But they did not weaken; You have consumed them, But they refused to accept discipline. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to repent.
Jeremiah 5:4 - Then I said, “They are only the poor, They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the Lord Or the judgment of their God.
Jeremiah 5:5 - I will go to the great And speak to them, For they know the way of the Lord And the judgment of their God.” But together they too have broken the yoke And burst the restraints.
Jeremiah 5:6 - Therefore a lion from the forest will kill them, A wolf of the deserts will destroy them, A leopard is watching their cities. Everyone who goes out of them will be torn in pieces, Because their wrongdoings are many, Their apostasies are numerous.
Jeremiah 5:7 - “Why should I forgive you? Your sons have forsaken Me And sworn by those who are not gods. When I had fed them to the full, They committed adultery And stayed at the prostitute’s house.
Jeremiah 5:8 - They were well-fed lusty horses, Each one neighing at his neighbor’s wife.
Jeremiah 5:9 - Shall I not punish them for these things?” declares the Lord, “And shall I not avenge Myself On a nation such as this?
Ezekiel 23:49 - Your outrageous conduct will be repaid to you, and you will bear the guilt for your idols; so you will know that I am the Lord God.’ ”
Ezekiel 22:2 - “And you, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then inform her of all her abominations.
Ezekiel 22:3 - And you shall say, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “A city shedding blood in her midst, so that her time is coming; and a city that makes idols, contrary to her own good, for defilement!
Ezekiel 22:4 - You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and you have become defiled by your idols which you have made. So you have brought your days closer and have come to your years; therefore I have made you a disgrace to the nations, and an object of mocking to all the lands.
Ezekiel 22:5 - Those who are near and those who are far from you will make fun of you, you of ill repute, full of turmoil.
Ezekiel 22:6 - “Behold, the rulers of Israel, each according to his power, have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood.
Ezekiel 22:7 - They have treated father and mother with contempt among you. They have oppressed the stranger in your midst; they have oppressed the orphan and the widow among you.
Ezekiel 22:8 - You have despised My holy things and profaned My Sabbaths.
Ezekiel 22:9 - Slanderous men have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood, and among you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed outrageous sin.
Ezekiel 22:10 - Among you they have uncovered their fathers’ nakedness; among you they have abused her who was unclean in her menstruation.
Ezekiel 22:11 - And one has committed abomination with his neighbor’s wife, another has outrageously defiled his daughter-in-law, and another among you has sexually abused his sister, his father’s daughter.
Ezekiel 22:12 - Among you they have taken bribes to shed blood; you have taken interest, you have injured your neighbors by oppression, and you have forgotten Me,” declares the Lord God.
Ezekiel 22:13 - “Behold, then, I strike with My hand your profit which you have made and the bloodshed which is among you.
Ezekiel 22:14 - Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong for the days that I will deal with you? I, the Lord, have spoken and will act.
Ezekiel 22:15 - And I will scatter you among the nations and disperse you among the lands, and I will eliminate your uncleanness from you.
Exodus 14:18 - Then the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord, when I am honored through Pharaoh, through his chariots, and through his horsemen.”
2 Kings 17:9 - And the sons of Israel did things secretly against the Lord their God which were not right. Moreover, they built for themselves high places in all their towns, from watchtower to fortified city.
2 Kings 17:10 - And they set up for themselves memorial stones and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree,
2 Kings 17:11 - and there they burned incense on all the high places as the nations did that the Lord had taken into exile before them; and they did evil things, provoking the Lord.
2 Kings 17:12 - They served idols, concerning which the Lord had said to them, “You shall not do this thing.”
2 Kings 17:13 - Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah through all His prophets and every seer, saying, “Turn back from your evil ways and keep My commandments and My statutes in accordance with all the Law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through My servants the prophets.”
2 Kings 17:14 - However, they did not listen, but stiffened their neck like their fathers, who did not believe in the Lord their God.
2 Kings 17:15 - They rejected His statutes and His covenant which He made with their fathers, and His warnings which He gave them. And they followed idols and became empty, and followed the nations that surrounded them, about which the Lord had commanded them not to do as they did.
2 Kings 17:16 - And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves cast metal images: two calves. And they made an Asherah, and worshiped all the heavenly lights, and served Baal.
2 Kings 17:17 - Then they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and they practiced divination and interpreting omens, and gave themselves over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him.
2 Kings 17:18 - So the Lord was very angry with Israel, and He removed them from His sight; no one was left except the tribe of Judah.
Psalms 9:16 - The Lord has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. A wicked one is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion Selah
Zephaniah 3:1 - Woe to her who is rebellious and defiled, The oppressive city!
Zephaniah 3:2 - She obeyed no voice, She accepted no discipline. She did not trust in the Lord, She did not approach her God.
Zephaniah 3:3 - Her leaders within her are roaring lions, Her judges are wolves at evening; They have no bones to gnaw in the morning.
Zephaniah 3:4 - Her prophets are insolent, treacherous men; Her priests have profaned the sanctuary. They have done violence to the Law.
Ezekiel 6:11 - “This is what the Lord God says: ‘Clap your hands, stamp your foot and say, “Woe, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by the sword, famine, and plague!
Ezekiel 7:27 - The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed in horror, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. I will deal with them because of their conduct, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the Lord.’ ”
Ezekiel 36:17 - “Son of man, when the house of Israel was living on their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds; their way before Me was like the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.
Ezekiel 36:18 - Therefore I poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols.
2 Chronicles 36:14 - Furthermore, all the officials of the priests and the people were very unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations; and they defiled the house of the Lord which He had sanctified in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 36:15 - Yet the Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;
2 Chronicles 36:16 - but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, until there was no remedy.
2 Chronicles 36:17 - So He brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or frail; He handed them all over to him.
Psalms 83:17 - May they be ashamed and dismayed forever, And may they be humiliated and perish,
Psalms 83:18 - So that they will know that You alone, whose name is the Lord, Are the Most High over all the earth.
Ezekiel 25:11 - So I will execute judgments on Moab, and they will know that I am the Lord.”
Ezekiel 22:25 - There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her.
Ezekiel 22:26 - Her priests have done violence to My Law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the common, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have closed their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am defiled among them.
Ezekiel 22:27 - Her leaders within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to make dishonest profit.
Ezekiel 22:28 - And her prophets have coated with whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘This is what the Lord God says,’ when the Lord has not spoken.
Ezekiel 22:29 - The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery, and they have oppressed the poor and needy, and have oppressed the stranger without justice.
Ezekiel 22:30 - I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.
Ezekiel 22:31 - So I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; I have brought their way upon their heads,” declares the Lord God.
Ezekiel 8:6 - And He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations which the house of Israel are committing here, so that I would be far from My sanctuary? But yet you will see still greater abominations!”
Ezekiel 8:7 - Then He brought me to the entrance of the courtyard, and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.
Ezekiel 8:8 - And He said to me, “Son of man, now dig through the wall.” So I dug through the wall, and behold, an entrance.
Ezekiel 8:9 - Then He said to me, “Go in and see the wicked abominations that they are committing here.”
Ezekiel 8:10 - So I entered and looked, and behold, every form of crawling things and animals and detestable things, with all the idols of the house of Israel, were carved on the wall all around.
Ezekiel 8:11 - And standing in front of them were seventy elders of the house of Israel, with Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan standing among them, each man with his censer in his hand; and the fragrance of the cloud of incense was rising.
Ezekiel 8:12 - Then He said to me, “Do you see, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each man in the rooms of his carved images? For they say, ‘The Lord does not see us; the Lord has abandoned the land.’ ”
Ezekiel 8:13 - And He said to me, “Yet you will see still greater abominations which they are committing!”
Ezekiel 8:14 - Then He brought me to the entrance of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and behold, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.
Ezekiel 8:15 - And He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Yet you will see still greater abominations than these!”
Ezekiel 6:7 - The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am the Lord.
