Ezequiel 26:21 - Te convertiré en objeto de espanto, y ya no volverás a existir. Te buscarán, pero jamás podrán encontrarte. Lo afirma el Señor omnipotente».
Ezequiel 27:7 - Con lino bordado de Egipto hicieron tus velas, y estas te sirvieron de bandera. De las costas de Elisá trajeron telas moradas y rojas para tu toldo.
Ezequiel 27:8 - Oh, Tiro, tus remeros vinieron de Sidón y de Arvad. A bordo iban tus propios timoneles, los más expertos hombres de mar.
Ezequiel 27:9 - Los hábiles veteranos de Guebal repararon los daños en la nave. Los marineros de todas las naves del mar negociaron con tus mercancías.
Ezequiel 26:12 - Además, saquearán tus riquezas y robarán tus mercancías. Derribarán tus muros, demolerán tus suntuosos palacios, y arrojarán al mar tus piedras, vigas y escombros.
Ezequiel 26:14 - Te convertiré en una roca desnuda, en un tendedero de redes, y no volverás a ser edificada. Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho. Yo, el Señor omnipotente, lo afirmo.
Ezequiel 27:18 - Por la gran cantidad de tus productos, y por la abundancia de tu riqueza, también Damasco comerciaba contigo. Te pagaba con vino de Jelbón y lana de Sajar.
Ezequiel 27:19 - A cambio de tus mercancías, los danitas y los griegos te traían de Uzal hierro forjado, canela y caña aromática.
Ezequiel 27:12 - Era tal tu riqueza que Tarsis comerciaba contigo. A cambio de tu mercadería, ella te ofrecía plata, hierro, estaño y plomo.
Ezequiel 27:22 - También eran tus clientes los comerciantes de Sabá y Ragama. A cambio de mercancías, te entregaban oro, piedras preciosas y los mejores perfumes.
Apocalipsis 18:11 - Los comerciantes de la tierra llorarán y harán duelo por ella, porque ya no habrá quien les compre sus mercaderías:
Apocalipsis 18:12 - artículos de oro, plata, piedras preciosas y perlas; lino fino, púrpura, telas de seda y escarlata; toda clase de maderas de cedro; los más variados objetos, hechos de marfil, de madera preciosa, de bronce, de hierro y de mármol;
Apocalipsis 18:13 - cargamentos de canela y especias aromáticas; de incienso, mirra y perfumes; de vino y aceite; de harina refinada y trigo; de ganado vacuno y de corderos; de caballos y carruajes; y hasta de seres humanos, vendidos como esclavos.
Apocalipsis 18:14 - Y dirán: «Se ha apartado de ti el fruto que con toda el alma codiciabas. Has perdido todas tus cosas suntuosas y espléndidas, y nunca las recuperarás».
Apocalipsis 18:15 - Los comerciantes que vendían estas mercaderías y se habían enriquecido a costa de ella se mantendrán a distancia, aterrorizados al ver semejante castigo. Llorarán y harán lamentación:
Apocalipsis 18:16 - «¡Ay! ¡Ay de la gran ciudad, vestida de lino fino, de púrpura y escarlata, y adornada con oro, piedras preciosas y perlas,
Apocalipsis 18:17 - porque en una sola hora ha quedado destruida toda tu riqueza!» Todos los capitanes de barco, los pasajeros, los marineros y todos los que viven del mar se detendrán a lo lejos.
Apocalipsis 18:18 - Al ver el humo del fuego que la consume, exclamarán: «¿Hubo jamás alguna ciudad como esta gran ciudad?»
Apocalipsis 18:19 - Harán duelo, llorando y lamentándose a gritos: «¡Ay! ¡Ay de la gran ciudad, con cuya opulencia se enriquecieron todos los dueños de flotas navieras! ¡En una sola hora ha quedado destruida!
Apocalipsis 18:20 - ¡Alégrate, oh cielo, por lo que le ha sucedido! ¡Alégrense también ustedes, santos, apóstoles y profetas!, porque Dios, al juzgarla, les ha hecho justicia a ustedes».
Apocalipsis 18:21 - Entonces un ángel poderoso levantó una piedra del tamaño de una gran rueda de molino, y la arrojó al mar diciendo: «Así también tú, Babilonia, gran ciudad, serás derribada con la misma violencia, y desaparecerás de la faz de la tierra.
Apocalipsis 18:22 - Jamás volverá a oírse en ti la música de los cantantes y de arpas, flautas y trompetas. Jamás volverá a hallarse en ti ningún tipo de artesano. Jamás volverá a oírse en ti el ruido de la rueda de molino.
Apocalipsis 18:23 - Jamás volverá a brillar en ti la luz de ninguna lámpara. Jamás volverá a sentirse en ti el regocijo de las nupcias. Porque tus comerciantes eran los magnates del mundo, porque con tus hechicerías engañaste a todas las naciones,
Apocalipsis 18:24 - porque en ti se halló sangre de profetas y de santos, y de todos los que han sido asesinados en la tierra».
Ezequiel 27:34 - Pero ahora el mar te ha hecho pedazos, ¡yaces en lo profundo de las aguas! Tus mercancías y toda tu tripulación se hundieron contigo.
Ezequiel 27:24 - Para abastecer tus mercados te vendían hermosas telas, mantos de color púrpura, bordados, tapices de muchos colores y cuerdas muy bien trenzadas.
Proverbios 11:4 - En el día de la ira de nada sirve ser rico, pero la justicia libra de la muerte.
