1 Kings 22:20 - And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one spirit said this, while another said that.
1 Kings 22:21 - Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will entice him.’
1 Kings 22:22 - And the Lord said to him, ‘How?’ And he said, ‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets.’ Then He said, ‘You shall entice him, and you will also prevail. Go and do so.’
1 Kings 22:23 - Now then, behold, the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours; and the Lord has declared disaster against you.”
1 Kings 22:24 - Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah approached and struck Micaiah on the cheek; and he said, “How did the Spirit of the Lord pass from me to speak to you?”
1 Kings 22:25 - And Micaiah said, “Behold, you are going to see how on that day when you go from one inner room to another trying to hide yourself.”
1 Kings 22:26 - Then the king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah and return him to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
1 Kings 22:27 - and say, ‘This is what the king says: “Put this man in prison, and feed him enough bread and water to survive until I return safely.” ’ ”
1 Kings 22:28 - But Micaiah said, “If you actually return safely, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Listen, all you people!”
Ezekiel 33:30 - “But as for you, son of man, your fellow citizens who talk with one another about you by the walls and in the doorways of the houses, speak one with another, each with his brother, saying, ‘Come now and hear what the message is that comes from the Lord.’
Ezekiel 33:31 - And they come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them; for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart follows their unlawful gain.
Ezekiel 33:32 - And behold, you are to them like a love song by one who has a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words but they do not practice them.
Ezekiel 33:33 - So when it comes— as it certainly will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
