Genesis 2:2 - And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.

Then I posted some of my servants at the gates, so that no burdens would be brought in on the Sabbath day.
Nehemiah 13:20 - Now the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.
Nehemiah 13:21 - Then I warned them, and said to them, “Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you!” From that time on they came no more on the Sabbath.

Deuteronomy 24:14 - “You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.

Deuteronomy 24:19 - “When you reap your harvest in your field, and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
Deuteronomy 24:20 - When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over the boughs again; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow.
Deuteronomy 24:21 - When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow.
Deuteronomy 24:22 - And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I command you to do this thing.
Exodus 16:27 - Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none.

Exodus 34:21 - “Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.
Deuteronomy 5:14 - but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
