  • Isaiah 41:17 - “Those who are poor and needy search for water. But there isn’t any. Their tongues are dry because they are thirsty. But I will help them. I am the Lord. I will not desert them. I am Israel’s God.
  • Isaiah 41:18 - I will make streams flow on the bare hilltops. I will make springs come up in the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water. I will turn the dry and cracked ground into flowing springs.
  • Exodus 3:1 - Moses was taking care of the flock of his father-in-law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.
  • Exodus 3:2 - There the angel of the Lord appeared to him from inside a burning bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire. But it didn’t burn up.
  • Exodus 3:3 - So Moses thought, “I’ll go over and see this strange sight. Why doesn’t the bush burn up?”
  • Exodus 3:4 - The Lord saw that Moses had gone over to look. So God spoke to him from inside the bush. He called out, “Moses! Moses!” “Here I am,” Moses said.
  • Exodus 3:5 - “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals. The place you are standing on is holy ground.”
  • Exodus 16:10 - While Aaron was talking to the whole community of Israel, they looked toward the desert. There was the glory of the Lord appearing in the cloud!
  • Psalm 46:4 - God’s blessings are like a river. They fill the city of God with joy. That city is the holy place where the Most High God lives.
  • John 4:14 - But anyone who drinks the water I give them will never be thirsty. In fact, the water I give them will become a spring of water in them. It will flow up into eternal life.”
  • Psalm 78:20 - It is true that he struck the rock, and streams of water poured out. Huge amounts of water flowed down. But can he also give us bread? Can he supply meat for his people?”
  • Isaiah 48:21 - They didn’t get thirsty when he led them through the deserts. He made water flow out of the rock for them. He broke the rock open, and water came out of it.
  • John 4:10 - Jesus answered her, “You do not know what God’s gift is. And you do not know who is asking you for a drink. If you did, you would have asked him. He would have given you living water.”
  • Psalm 78:15 - He broke the rocks open in the desert. He gave them as much water as there is in the oceans.
  • Psalm 78:16 - He brought streams out of a rocky cliff. He made water flow down like rivers.
  • John 7:37 - It was the last and most important day of the feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.
  • John 7:38 - Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from inside them.”
  • Deuteronomy 8:15 - He led you through that huge and terrible desert. It was a dry land. It didn’t have any water. It had poisonous snakes and scorpions. The Lord gave you water out of solid rock.
  • Revelation 22:17 - The Holy Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And the person who hears should say, “Come!” Anyone who is thirsty should come. Anyone who wants to take the free gift of the water of life should do so.
  • Psalm 114:8 - He turned the rock into a pool. He turned the hard rock into springs of water.
  • Nehemiah 9:15 - When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.
  • Psalm 105:41 - He broke open a rock, and streams of water poured out. They flowed like a river in the desert.
  • Numbers 20:9 - So Moses took the walking stick from the tent. He did just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Numbers 20:10 - He and Aaron gathered the people together in front of the rock. Moses said to them, “Listen, you who refuse to obey! Do we have to bring water out of this rock for you?”
  • Numbers 20:11 - Then Moses raised his arm. He hit the rock twice with his walking stick. Water poured out. And the people and their livestock drank it.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:4 - They all drank the same spiritual water. They drank from the spiritual rock that went with them. That rock was Christ.
