  • 1 Chronicles 29:22 - They ate and drank that day before the Lord with great rejoicing. They made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and anointed him as ruler for the Lord and Zadok as [high] priest.
  • 1 Chronicles 29:23 - Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father; and he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.
  • Nehemiah 8:10 - Then Ezra said to them, “Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold.”

  • Ecclesiastes 2:24 - There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and assure himself that there is good in his labor. Even this, I have seen, is from the hand of God.
  • Ecclesiastes 2:25 - For who can eat and who can have enjoyment without Him?
  • Ecclesiastes 2:26 - For to the person who pleases Him God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who pleases God. This too is vanity and chasing after the wind.
  • Deuteronomy 12:7 - And there you and your households shall eat before the Lord your God, and rejoice in all to which you put your hand, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.
  • Ecclesiastes 3:12 - I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good as long as they live;
  • Ecclesiastes 3:13 - and also that every man should eat and drink and see and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
