  • Isaiah 28:18 - Your treaty with death will be dissolved; your agreement with Sheol will not last. When the overwhelming judgment sweeps by, you will be overrun by it.

  • Psalms 89:48 - No man can live on without experiencing death, or deliver his life from the power of Sheol. (Selah)
  • 1 Corinthians 15:43 - It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
  • Psalms 49:6 - They trust in their wealth and boast in their great riches.
  • Psalms 49:7 - Certainly a man cannot rescue his brother; he cannot pay God an adequate ransom price
  • Psalms 49:8 - (the ransom price for a human life is too high, and people go to their final destiny),
  • Psalms 49:9 - so that he might continue to live forever and not experience death.
  • 2 Samuel 14:14 - Certainly we must die, and are like water spilled on the ground that cannot be gathered up again. But God does not take away life; instead he devises ways for the banished to be restored.
  • Proverbs 14:32 - The wicked will be thrown down in his trouble, but the righteous have refuge even in the threat of death.
  • Hebrews 9:27 - And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment,
