  • 2 Timothy 2:1 - So you, my son, be strong [constantly strengthened] and empowered in the grace that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus.
  • 2 Timothy 2:2 - The things [the doctrine, the precepts, the admonitions, the sum of my ministry] which you have heard me teach in the presence of many witnesses, entrust [as a treasure] to reliable and faithful men who will also be capable and qualified to teach others.
  • 2 Timothy 2:3 - Take with me your share of hardship [passing through the difficulties which you are called to endure], like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
  • 1 Chronicles 28:9 - “As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and minds, and understands every intent and inclination of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] He will let you find Him; but if you abandon (turn away from) Him, He will reject you forever.
  • 1 Chronicles 28:10 - Consider this carefully, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be courageous and strong and do it.”
  • 1 Timothy 6:13 - I solemnly charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and [in the presence] of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession [in His testimony] before Pontius Pilate,
  • 1 Timothy 6:14 - to keep all His precepts without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
  • Joshua 3:7 - The Lord said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to magnify and exalt you in the sight of all Israel, so that they may know that just as I was with Moses, I will [also] be with you.
  • Joshua 3:8 - You shall command the priests who carry the ark of the covenant, saying, ‘When you come to the edge of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.’ ”
  • Joshua 3:9 - Joshua said to the Israelites, “Come here, and listen to the words of the Lord your God.”
  • Joshua 3:10 - Joshua said, “By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will, without fail, drive out from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.
  • Joshua 3:11 - Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over ahead of you [leading the way] into the Jordan.
  • Joshua 3:12 - So now take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from each tribe.
  • Joshua 3:13 - When the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, [come to] rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan flowing down from above will be cut off, and they will stand in one mass [of water].”
  • Joshua 3:14 - So when the people set out from their tents to cross over the Jordan with the priests who were carrying the ark of the covenant before the people,
  • Joshua 3:15 - and when those who were carrying the ark came up to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests carrying the ark were submerged at the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all of its banks throughout the time of harvest),
  • Joshua 3:16 - the waters which were flowing down from above stopped and rose up in one mass a great distance away at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan. Those [waters] flowing downward toward the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. So the people crossed [the river] opposite Jericho.
  • Joshua 3:17 - And while all [the people of] Israel crossed over on dry ground, the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan [riverbed], until all the nation had finished crossing over the Jordan.
  • 1 Chronicles 28:20 - Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and take action; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor abandon you [but will guide you in the construction] until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:6 - Then he called for Solomon his son and ordered him to build a house for the Lord, the God of Israel.
  • Acts 7:45 - Our fathers also brought it in [with them into the land] with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations whom God drove out before our fathers, [and so it remained here] until the time of David,
  • 1 Chronicles 22:11 - Now, my son, may the Lord be with you so that you may be successful and build the house of the Lord your God, just as He has spoken concerning you.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:12 - Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:13 - Then you will prosper, if you are careful to observe and fulfill the statutes and ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous, do not fear nor be dismayed.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:14 - Now listen, with great trouble I have prepared and provided for the house of the Lord 100,000 talents of gold, 1,000,000 talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond weighing, for they are great in quantity. I have also prepared and provided timber and stone, and you may add to them.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:15 - Further, you have workmen in abundance: stonecutters and stonemasons and carpenters, and all men who are skillful in every kind of work.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:16 - As for the gold, the silver, the bronze, and the iron, there is no limit. So arise and begin working, and may the Lord be with you.”
  • John 1:17 - For the Law was given through Moses, but grace [the unearned, undeserved favor of God] and truth came through Jesus Christ.
  • 2 Timothy 4:1 - I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
  • 2 Timothy 4:2 - preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.
  • 2 Timothy 4:3 - For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold,
  • 2 Timothy 4:4 - and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].
  • 2 Timothy 4:5 - But as for you, be clear-headed in every situation [stay calm and cool and steady], endure every hardship [without flinching], do the work of an evangelist, fulfill [the duties of] your ministry.
  • 2 Timothy 4:6 - For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure [from this world] is at hand and I will soon go free.
  • Hebrews 4:8 - [This mention of a rest was not a reference to their entering into Canaan.] For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not speak about another day [of opportunity] after that.
  • Joshua 1:2 - “Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise [to take his place], cross over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.
  • Numbers 27:18 - The Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
  • Numbers 27:19 - and have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the whole congregation, and give him a commission in their sight.
  • Numbers 27:20 - You shall put some of your authority and honor on him, so that all the congregation of the Israelites will obey him.
  • Numbers 27:21 - He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment (decision) of the Urim. At Joshua’s command the people shall go out and at his command they shall come in, he and all the congregation of Israel with him.”
  • Numbers 27:22 - Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation,
  • Numbers 27:23 - and Moses laid his hands on Joshua and commissioned him, just as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
  • Deuteronomy 31:23 - Then He commanded and commissioned Joshua, the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the sons of Israel into the land which I have sworn to give them, and I will be with you.”
  • Deuteronomy 31:7 - Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all [the people of] Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you will give it to them as an inheritance.
  • Deuteronomy 1:38 - Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall enter there. Encourage and strengthen him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
  • Deuteronomy 31:3 - It is the Lord your God who will cross ahead of you; He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua is the one who will go across before you [to lead you], just as the Lord has said.
