Deuteronomio 17:2 - »Puede ser que a algún hombre o mujer entre los tuyos, habitante de una de las ciudades que el Señor tu Dios te dará, se le sorprenda haciendo lo que ofende a Dios. Tal persona habrá violado el pacto
Deuteronomio 17:3 - y desobedecido mi orden, al adorar a otros dioses e inclinarse ante ellos o ante el sol, la luna o las estrellas del cielo.
Deuteronomio 17:4 - Tan pronto como lo sepas, deberás hacer una investigación escrupulosa. Si resulta verdad y se comprueba que algo tan abominable se ha cometido en Israel,
Deuteronomio 17:5 - llevarás al culpable, sea hombre o mujer, fuera de las puertas de la ciudad, para que muera apedreado.
Deuteronomio 17:6 - Por el testimonio de dos o tres testigos se podrá condenar a muerte a una persona, pero nunca por el testimonio de uno solo.
Deuteronomio 17:7 - Los primeros en ejecutar el castigo serán los testigos, y luego todo el pueblo. Así extirparás el mal que esté en medio de ti.

Deuteronomio 13:1 - »Cuando en medio de ti aparezca algún profeta o visionario, y anuncie algún prodigio o señal milagrosa,
Deuteronomio 13:2 - si esa señal o prodigio se cumple y él te dice: “Vayamos a rendir culto a otros dioses”, dioses que no has conocido,
Deuteronomio 13:3 - no prestes atención a las palabras de ese profeta o visionario. El Señor tu Dios te estará probando para saber si lo amas con todo el corazón y con toda el alma.
Deuteronomio 13:4 - Solamente al Señor tu Dios debes seguir y rendir culto. Cumple sus mandamientos y obedécelo; sírvele y permanece fiel a él.
Deuteronomio 13:5 - Condenarás a muerte a ese profeta o visionario por haberte aconsejado rebelarte contra el Señor tu Dios, que te sacó de Egipto y te rescató de la tierra de esclavitud. Así extirparás el mal que haya en medio de ti, porque tal profeta habrá intentado apartarte del camino que el Señor tu Dios te mandó que siguieras.
Deuteronomio 13:6 - »Si tu propio hermano, o tu hijo, o tu hija, o tu esposa amada, o tu amigo íntimo, trata de engañarte y en secreto te insinúa: “Vayamos a rendir culto a otros dioses”, dioses que ni tú ni tus padres conocieron,
Deuteronomio 13:7 - dioses de pueblos cercanos o lejanos que abarcan toda la tierra,
Deuteronomio 13:8 - no te dejes engañar ni le hagas caso. Tampoco le tengas lástima. No te compadezcas de él ni lo encubras,
Deuteronomio 13:9 - ni dudes en matarlo. Al contrario, sé tú el primero en alzar la mano para matarlo, y que haga lo mismo todo el pueblo.
Deuteronomio 13:10 - Apedréalo hasta que muera, porque trató de apartarte del Señor tu Dios, que te sacó de Egipto, la tierra donde eras esclavo.
Deuteronomio 13:11 - Entonces todos en Israel oirán esto y temblarán de miedo, y nadie intentará otra vez cometer semejante maldad.
Deuteronomio 13:12 - »Si de alguna de las ciudades que el Señor tu Dios te da para que las habites llega el rumor de
Deuteronomio 13:13 - que han surgido hombres perversos que descarrían a la gente y le dicen: “Vayamos a rendir culto a otros dioses”, dioses que ustedes no han conocido,
Deuteronomio 13:14 - entonces deberás inquirir e investigar todo con sumo cuidado. Si se comprueba que tal hecho abominable ha ocurrido en medio de ti,
Deuteronomio 13:15 - no dudes en matar a filo de espada a todos los habitantes de esa ciudad. Destrúyelos junto con todo lo que haya en ella, incluyendo el ganado.
