  • Isaiah 57:15 - The God who is highly honored lives forever. His name is holy. He says, “I live in a high and holy place. But I also live with anyone who turns away from their sins. I live with anyone who is not proud. I give new life to them. I give it to anyone who turns away from their sins.
  • Hebrews 6:13 - When God made his promise to Abraham, God gave his word. There was no one greater than himself to promise by. So he promised by making an appeal to himself.
  • Hebrews 6:14 - He said, “I will certainly bless you. I will give you many children.” ( Genesis 22:17 )
  • Hebrews 6:15 - Abraham was patient while he waited. Then he received what God promised him.
  • Hebrews 6:16 - People promise things by someone greater than themselves. Giving your word makes a promise certain. It puts an end to all arguing.
  • Hebrews 6:17 - So God gave his word when he made his promise. He wanted to make it very clear that his purpose does not change. He wanted those who would receive what was promised to know this.
  • Hebrews 6:18 - When God made his promise, he gave his word. He did this so we would have good reason not to give up. Instead, we have run to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope is set before us in God’s promise. So God made his promise and gave his word. These two things can’t change. He couldn’t lie about them.
  • Matthew 6:9 - “This is how you should pray. “ ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored.
  • Psalm 51:18 - May you be pleased to give Zion success. May it please you to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
  • Psalm 90:17 - May the Lord our God always be pleased with us. Lord, make what we do succeed. Please make what we do succeed.
  • Psalm 102:19 - Here is what should be written. “The Lord looked down from his temple in heaven. From heaven he viewed the earth.
  • Psalm 102:20 - He heard the groans of the prisoners. He set free those who were sentenced to death.”
  • Psalm 115:12 - The Lord remembers us and will bless us. He will bless Israel, his people. He will bless the priests of Aaron.
  • Psalm 115:13 - The Lord will bless those who have respect for him. He will bless important and unimportant people alike.
  • Psalm 115:14 - May the Lord give you many children. May he give them to you and to your children after you.
  • Psalm 115:15 - May the Lord bless you. He is the Maker of heaven and earth.
  • Deuteronomy 26:7 - Then we cried out to the Lord. He is the God of our people who lived long ago. He heard our voice. He saw how much we were suffering. The Egyptians were treating us badly. They were making us work very hard.
  • Psalm 137:5 - Jerusalem, if I forget you, may my right hand never be able to play the harp again.
  • Psalm 137:6 - If I don’t remember you, may my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth so I can’t sing. May it happen if I don’t consider Jerusalem to be my greatest joy.
  • Psalm 28:9 - Save your people. Bless those who belong to you. Be their shepherd. Take care of them forever.
  • Acts 7:49 - “ ‘Heaven is my throne. The earth is under my control. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Where will my resting place be?
  • 1 Kings 8:43 - Then listen to them from heaven. It’s the place where you live. Do what those outsiders ask you to do. Then all the nations on earth will know you. They will have respect for you. They’ll respect you just as your own people Israel do. They’ll know that your Name is in this house I’ve built.
  • Isaiah 66:1 - The Lord says, “Heaven is my throne. The earth is under my control. So how could you ever build a house for me? Where would my resting place be?
  • Isaiah 66:2 - Didn’t I make everything by my power? That is how all things were created,” announces the Lord. “The people I value are not proud. They are sorry for the wrong things they have done. They have great respect for what I say.
  • Jeremiah 31:23 - The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, “I will bring them back from the place where they were taken. Here is what the people in Judah and its towns will say once again. ‘May the Lord bless you, you successful city. Sacred mountain, may he bless you.’
  • 1 Kings 8:27 - “But will you really live on earth? After all, the heavens can’t hold you. In fact, even the highest heavens can’t hold you. So this temple I’ve built certainly can’t hold you!
  • Zechariah 2:13 - All you people of the world, be still because the Lord is coming. He is getting ready to come down from his holy temple in heaven.”
  • Isaiah 63:15 - Lord, look down from heaven. Look down from your holy and glorious throne. Where is your great love for us? Where is your power? Why don’t you show us your tender love and concern?
