2 Kings 21:2 - He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, imitating the detestable practices of the nations that the Lord had dispossessed before the Israelites.
Leviticus 20:2 - “Say to the Israelites: Any Israelite or alien residing in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech must be put to death; the people of the country are to stone him.
Deuteronomy 9:5 - You are not going to take possession of their land because of your righteousness or your integrity. Instead, the Lord your God will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness, in order to fulfill the promise he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Ezekiel 20:31 - When you offer your gifts, sacrificing your children in the fire, you still continue to defile yourselves with all your idols today. So should I let you inquire of me, house of Israel? As I live — this is the declaration of the Lord God — I will not let you inquire of me!
Leviticus 18:26 - But you are to keep my statutes and ordinances. You must not commit any of these detestable acts — not the native or the alien who resides among you.
Leviticus 18:27 - For the people who were in the land prior to you have committed all these detestable acts, and the land has become defiled.
Leviticus 18:28 - If you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it has vomited out the nations that were before you.
Leviticus 18:29 - Any person who does any of these detestable practices is to be cut off from his people.
Leviticus 18:30 - You must keep my instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am the Lord your God.”
Deuteronomy 18:9 - “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not imitate the detestable customs of those nations.
Deuteronomy 18:10 - No one among you is to sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire, practice divination, tell fortunes, interpret omens, practice sorcery,
Exodus 23:2 - “You must not follow a crowd in wrongdoing. Do not testify in a lawsuit and go along with a crowd to pervert justice.
Leviticus 18:3 - Do not follow the practices of the land of Egypt, where you used to live, or follow the practices of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. You must not follow their customs.
Deuteronomy 12:4 - Don’t worship the Lord your God this way.
2 Kings 17:15 - They rejected his statutes and his covenant he had made with their ancestors and the warnings he had given them. They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves, following the surrounding nations the Lord had commanded them not to imitate.
2 Kings 17:16 - They abandoned all the commands of the Lord their God. They made cast images for themselves, two calves, and an Asherah pole. They bowed in worship to all the stars in the sky and served Baal.
2 Kings 17:17 - They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire and practiced divination and interpreted omens. They devoted themselves to do what was evil in the Lord’s sight and angered him.
Jeremiah 7:31 - They have built the high places of Topheth in Ben Hinnom Valley in order to burn their sons and daughters in the fire, a thing I did not command; I never entertained the thought.
Jeremiah 32:35 - They have built the high places of Baal in Ben Hinnom Valley to sacrifice their sons and daughters in the fire to Molech — something I had not commanded them. I had never entertained the thought that they do this detestable act causing Judah to sin!
