  • Zechariah 7:11 - “But they refused to pay attention, turning away stubbornly and stopping their ears so they could not hear.
  • Zechariah 7:12 - Indeed, they made their heart as hard as diamond, so that they could not obey the Torah and the other words the Lord who rules over all had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore, the Lord who rules over all had poured out great wrath.
  • Jeremiah 25:3 - “For the last twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year that Josiah son of Amon was ruling in Judah until now, the Lord has been speaking to me. I told you over and over again what he said. But you would not listen.
  • Jeremiah 25:4 - Over and over again the Lord has sent his servants the prophets to you. But you have not listened or paid attention.
  • Jeremiah 25:5 - He said through them, ‘Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and stop doing the evil things you are doing. If you do, I will allow you to continue to live here in the land that I gave to you and your ancestors as a lasting possession.
  • Jeremiah 25:6 - Do not pay allegiance to other gods and worship and serve them. Do not make me angry by the things that you do. Then I will not cause you any harm.’
  • Jeremiah 25:7 - So, now the Lord says, ‘You have not listened to me. But you have made me angry by the things that you have done. Thus you have brought harm on yourselves.’
  • Jeremiah 32:32 - I am determined to do so because the people of Israel and Judah have made me angry with all their wickedness – they, their kings, their officials, their priests, their prophets, and especially the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem have done this wickedness.
  • Jeremiah 32:33 - They have turned away from me instead of turning to me. I tried over and over again to instruct them, but they did not listen and respond to correction.

  • Acts 13:27 - For the people who live in Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize him, and they fulfilled the sayings of the prophets that are read every Sabbath by condemning him.
  • Isaiah 30:10 - They say to the visionaries, “See no more visions!” and to the seers, “Don’t relate messages to us about what is right! Tell us nice things, relate deceptive messages.
  • Isaiah 30:11 - Turn aside from the way, stray off the path. Remove from our presence the Holy One of Israel.”
  • Daniel 9:10 - We have not obeyed the LORD our God by living according to his laws that he set before us through his servants the prophets.
  • Nehemiah 9:32 - “So now, our God – the great, powerful, and awesome God, who keeps covenant fidelity – do not regard as inconsequential all the hardship that has befallen us – our kings, our leaders, our priests, our prophets, our ancestors, and all your people – from the days of the kings of Assyria until this very day!
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:15 - who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us severely. They are displeasing to God and are opposed to all people,

  • Matthew 21:34 - When the harvest time was near, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his portion of the crop.
  • Matthew 21:35 - But the tenants seized his slaves, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
  • Matthew 21:36 - Again he sent other slaves, more than the first, and they treated them the same way.
  • Matthew 21:37 - Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
  • Matthew 21:38 - But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and get his inheritance!’
  • Matthew 21:39 - So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
  • Matthew 21:40 - Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”
  • Jeremiah 7:13 - You also have done all these things, says the Lord, and I have spoken to you over and over again. But you have not listened! You have refused to respond when I called you to repent!
  • 2 Kings 17:13 - The Lord solemnly warned Israel and Judah through all his prophets and all the seers, “Turn back from your evil ways; obey my commandments and rules that are recorded in the law. I ordered your ancestors to keep this law and sent my servants the prophets to remind you of its demands.”
  • 2 Kings 17:14 - But they did not pay attention and were as stubborn as their ancestors, who had not trusted the Lord their God.
  • Nehemiah 9:34 - Our kings, our leaders, our priests, and our ancestors have not kept your law. They have not paid attention to your commandments or your testimonies by which you have solemnly admonished them.
  • Ezra 9:7 - From the days of our fathers until this very day our guilt has been great. Because of our iniquities we, along with our kings and priests, have been delivered over by the local kings to sword, captivity, plunder, and embarrassment – right up to the present time.
  • Jeremiah 44:4 - I sent my servants the prophets to you people over and over again warning you not to do this disgusting thing I hate.
  • Jeremiah 44:5 - But the people of Jerusalem and Judah would not listen or pay any attention. They would not stop the wickedness they were doing nor quit sacrificing to other gods.
  • Acts 7:51 - “You stubborn people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit, like your ancestors did!
  • Acts 7:52 - Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They killed those who foretold long ago the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become!
  • Luke 20:10 - When harvest time came, he sent a slave to the tenants so that they would give him his portion of the crop. However, the tenants beat his slave and sent him away empty-handed.
  • Luke 20:11 - So he sent another slave. They beat this one too, treated him outrageously, and sent him away empty-handed.
  • Luke 20:12 - So he sent still a third. They even wounded this one, and threw him out.
  • 2 Chronicles 36:15 - The Lord God of their ancestors continually warned them through his messengers, for he felt compassion for his people and his dwelling place.
  • 2 Chronicles 36:16 - But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his warnings, and ridiculed his prophets. Finally the Lord got very angry at his people and there was no one who could prevent his judgment.
