  • James 3:15 - Wisdom like this doesn’t come down from heaven. It belongs to the earth. It doesn’t come from the Holy Spirit. It comes from the devil.

  • 1 Kings 3:12 - I will give it to you. I will give you a wise and understanding heart. So here is what will be true of you. There has never been anyone like you. And there never will be.
  • 1 Samuel 2:7 - The Lord makes people poor. He also makes people rich. He brings people down. He also lifts people up.

  • 1 Kings 3:28 - All the Israelites heard about the decision the king had given. That gave them great respect for him. They saw that God had given him wisdom. They knew that Solomon would do what was right and fair when he judged people.
  • 1 Kings 4:29 - God made Solomon very wise. His understanding couldn’t even be measured. It was like the sand on the seashore. People can’t measure that either.

  • Acts 13:22 - God removed him and made David their king. Here is God’s witness about him. ‘David, son of Jesse, is a man dear to my heart,’ he said. ‘David will do everything I want him to do.’
  • 2 Chronicles 1:10 - Give me wisdom and knowledge. Then I’ll be able to lead these people. Without your help, who would be able to rule this great nation of yours?”

  • Daniel 4:32 - You will be driven away from people. You will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass just as an ox does. Seven periods of time will pass by for you. Then you will recognize that the Most High God rules over all kingdoms on earth. He gives them to anyone he wants.”

  • Job 34:29 - But if he remains silent, who can judge him? If he turns his face away, who can see him? He rules over individual people and nations alike.
  • Jeremiah 27:5 - I reached out my great and powerful arm. I made the earth. I made its people and animals. And I can give the earth to anyone I please.
  • Jeremiah 27:6 - Now I will hand over all your countries to my servant Nebuchadnezzar. He is the king of Babylon. I will put even the wild animals under his control.
  • Jeremiah 27:7 - All the nations will serve him and his son and grandson. After that, I will judge his land. Then many nations and great kings will make him serve them.
  • James 1:5 - If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.
  • Daniel 2:9 - You must tell me the dream. If you don’t, you will pay for it. You have gotten together and made evil plans. You hope things will change. So you are telling me lies. But I want you to tell me what I dreamed. Then I’ll know that you can tell me what it means.”

  • Daniel 4:17 - “ ‘The decision is announced by holy messengers. So all who are alive will know that the Most High God is King. He rules over all kingdoms on earth. He gives them to anyone he wants. Sometimes he puts the least important people in charge of them.’
