Amos 7:12 - Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. Earn your living and give your prophecies there,
Amos 7:13 - but don’t ever prophesy at Bethel again, for it is the king’s sanctuary and a royal temple.”
Amos 7:14 - So Amos answered Amaziah, “I was not a prophet or the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman, and I took care of sycamore figs.
Amos 7:15 - But the Lord took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’”
Amos 7:16 - Now hear the word of the Lord. You say: Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.
Amos 7:17 - Therefore, this is what the Lord says: Your wife will be a prostitute in the city, your sons and daughters will fall by the sword, and your land will be divided up with a measuring line. You yourself will die on pagan soil, and Israel will certainly go into exile from its homeland.
Psalms 2:1 - Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
Psalms 2:2 - The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and his Anointed One:
Psalms 2:3 - “Let’s tear off their chains and throw their ropes off of us.”
Psalms 2:4 - The one enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord ridicules them.
Jeremiah 20:1 - Pashhur the priest, the son of Immer and chief official in the temple of the Lord, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.
Jeremiah 20:2 - So Pashhur had the prophet Jeremiah beaten and put him in the stocks at the Upper Benjamin Gate in the Lord’s temple.
Jeremiah 20:3 - The next day, when Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, “The Lord does not call you Pashhur, but Terror Is on Every Side,
Acts 4:29 - And now, Lord, consider their threats, and grant that your servants may speak your word with all boldness,

Jeremiah 29:26 - ‘The Lord has appointed you priest in place of the priest Jehoiada to be the chief officer in the temple of the Lord, responsible for every madman who acts like a prophet. You must confine him in the stocks and an iron collar.
Jeremiah 29:27 - So now, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth who has been acting like a prophet among you?
Jeremiah 29:28 - For he has sent word to us in Babylon, claiming, “The exile will be long. Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat their produce.”’”
Jeremiah 29:29 - The priest Zephaniah read this letter in the hearing of the prophet Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 29:30 - Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 29:31 - “Send a message to all the exiles, saying, ‘This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,
Jeremiah 29:32 - this is what the Lord says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to my people — this is the Lord’s declaration — for he has preached rebellion against the Lord.’”
Acts 5:39 - but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even be found fighting against God.” They were persuaded by him.

Isaiah 30:10 - They say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy the truth to us. Tell us flattering things. Prophesy illusions.
Isaiah 30:11 - Get out of the way! Leave the pathway. Rid us of the Holy One of Israel.”
Daniel 2:34 - As you were watching, a stone broke off without a hand touching it, struck the statue on its feet of iron and fired clay, and crushed them.
Daniel 2:35 - Then the iron, the fired clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were shattered and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors. The wind carried them away, and not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
Acts 5:24 - As the captain of the temple police and the chief priests heard these things, they were baffled about them, wondering what would come of this.
Acts 5:28 - “Didn’t we strictly order you not to teach in this name? Look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.”
