  • Luke 5:29 - Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them.

  • Acts of the Apostles 10:19 - Meanwhile, as Peter was puzzling over the vision, the Holy Spirit said to him, “Three men have come looking for you.
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:20 - Get up, go downstairs, and go with them without hesitation. Don’t worry, for I have sent them.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:21 - So Peter went down and said, “I’m the man you are looking for. Why have you come?”
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:22 - They said, “We were sent by Cornelius, a Roman officer. He is a devout and God-fearing man, well respected by all the Jews. A holy angel instructed him to summon you to his house so that he can hear your message.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:23 - So Peter invited the men to stay for the night. The next day he went with them, accompanied by some of the brothers from Joppa.
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:24 - They arrived in Caesarea the following day. Cornelius was waiting for them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:25 - As Peter entered his home, Cornelius fell at his feet and worshiped him.

  • Acts of the Apostles 10:28 - Peter told them, “You know it is against our laws for a Jewish man to enter a Gentile home like this or to associate with you. But God has shown me that I should no longer think of anyone as impure or unclean.

  • Acts of the Apostles 10:30 - Cornelius replied, “Four days ago I was praying in my house about this same time, three o’clock in the afternoon. Suddenly, a man in dazzling clothes was standing in front of me.
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:31 - He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been noticed by God!
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:32 - Now send messengers to Joppa, and summon a man named Simon Peter. He is staying in the home of Simon, a tanner who lives near the seashore.’
  • Acts of the Apostles 10:33 - So I sent for you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here, waiting before God to hear the message the Lord has given you.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 12:17 - He motioned for them to quiet down and told them how the Lord had led him out of prison. “Tell James and the other brothers what happened,” he said. And then he went to another place.

  • John 21:15 - After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these? ” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.
  • John 21:16 - Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.
  • John 21:17 - A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.
  • John 21:18 - “I tell you the truth, when you were young, you were able to do as you liked; you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and others will dress you and take you where you don’t want to go.”
  • John 21:19 - Jesus said this to let him know by what kind of death he would glorify God. Then Jesus told him, “Follow me.”
  • John 21:20 - Peter turned around and saw behind them the disciple Jesus loved—the one who had leaned over to Jesus during supper and asked, “Lord, who will betray you?”
  • John 21:21 - Peter asked Jesus, “What about him, Lord?”
  • John 21:22 - Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”
  • John 21:23 - So the rumor spread among the community of believers that this disciple wouldn’t die. But that isn’t what Jesus said at all. He only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”
  • John 21:24 - This disciple is the one who testifies to these events and has recorded them here. And we know that his account of these things is accurate.
  • John 1:40 - Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus.
  • John 1:41 - Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ” ).
  • John 1:42 - Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, “Your name is Simon, son of John—but you will be called Cephas” (which means “Peter” ).
  • John 1:43 - The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Come, follow me.”
  • John 1:44 - Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter’s hometown.
  • John 1:45 - Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.”
  • John 1:46 - “Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” “Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied.
  • Acts of the Apostles 12:2 - He had the apostle James (John’s brother) killed with a sword.
  • Acts of the Apostles 12:3 - When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish people, he also arrested Peter. (This took place during the Passover celebration. )

  • Acts of the Apostles 9:37 - About this time she became ill and died. Her body was washed for burial and laid in an upstairs room.
  • Acts of the Apostles 9:38 - But the believers had heard that Peter was nearby at Lydda, so they sent two men to beg him, “Please come as soon as possible!”
  • Acts of the Apostles 9:39 - So Peter returned with them; and as soon as he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. The room was filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other clothes Dorcas had made for them.
  • Acts of the Apostles 9:40 - But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, “Get up, Tabitha.” And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up!

  • Acts of the Apostles 3:2 - As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple.
  • Acts of the Apostles 3:3 - When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.
  • Acts of the Apostles 3:4 - Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!”

  • Acts of the Apostles 3:6 - But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
  • Acts of the Apostles 3:7 - Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.

  • John 6:6 - He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
  • John 6:7 - Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”
  • Revelation 1:1 - This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John,
  • Revelation 1:2 - who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  • Revelation 1:3 - God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.
  • Acts of the Apostles 8:14 - When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God’s message, they sent Peter and John there.
  • Acts of the Apostles 8:15 - As soon as they arrived, they prayed for these new believers to receive the Holy Spirit.

  • Acts of the Apostles 8:21 - You can have no part in this, for your heart is not right with God.
  • Acts of the Apostles 8:22 - Repent of your wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive your evil thoughts,
  • Acts of the Apostles 8:23 - for I can see that you are full of bitter jealousy and are held captive by sin.”
  • Acts of the Apostles 8:24 - “Pray to the Lord for me,” Simon exclaimed, “that these terrible things you’ve said won’t happen to me!”
  • Acts of the Apostles 8:25 - After testifying and preaching the word of the Lord in Samaria, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem. And they stopped in many Samaritan villages along the way to preach the Good News.
