  • Acts 9:39 - Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they led him to the room upstairs. And all the widows approached him, weeping and showing him the robes and clothes that Dorcas had made while she was with them.

  • John 21:2 - Simon Peter, Thomas (called “Twin” ), Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples were together.
  • Jude 1:1 - Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James: To those who are the called, loved by God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ.
  • Acts 10:9 - The next day, as they were traveling and nearing the city, Peter went up to pray on the roof about noon.
  • Acts 10:10 - He became hungry and wanted to eat, but while they were preparing something, he fell into a trance.
  • Acts 10:11 - He saw heaven opened and an object that resembled a large sheet coming down, being lowered by its four corners to the earth.
  • Acts 10:12 - In it were all the four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, and the birds of the sky.
  • Acts 10:13 - A voice said to him, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat.”
  • Acts 10:14 - “No, Lord!” Peter said. “For I have never eaten anything impure and ritually unclean.”
  • Acts 10:15 - Again, a second time, the voice said to him, “What God has made clean, do not call impure.”
  • Acts 10:16 - This happened three times, and suddenly the object was taken up into heaven.
  • Acts 10:17 - While Peter was deeply perplexed about what the vision he had seen might mean, right away the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having asked directions to Simon’s house, stood at the gate.
  • Acts 10:18 - They called out, asking if Simon, who was also named Peter, was lodging there.
  • Acts 10:19 - While Peter was thinking about the vision, the Spirit told him, “Three men are here looking for you.
  • Acts 10:20 - Get up, go downstairs, and go with them with no doubts at all, because I have sent them.”
  • Acts 10:21 - Then Peter went down to the men and said, “Here I am, the one you’re looking for. What is the reason you’re here?”
  • Acts 10:22 - They said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who has a good reputation with the whole Jewish nation, was divinely directed by a holy angel to call you to his house and to hear a message from you.”
  • Acts 10:23 - Peter then invited them in and gave them lodging. The next day he got up and set out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went with him.
  • Acts 10:24 - The following day he entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
  • Acts 10:25 - When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.
  • Acts 10:26 - But Peter lifted him up and said, “Stand up. I myself am also a man.”
  • Acts 10:27 - While talking with him, he went in and found a large gathering of people.
  • Acts 10:28 - Peter said to them, “You know it’s forbidden for a Jewish man to associate with or visit a foreigner, but God has shown me that I must not call any person impure or unclean.
  • Acts 10:29 - That’s why I came without any objection when I was sent for. So may I ask why you sent for me?”
  • Acts 10:30 - Cornelius replied, “Four days ago at this hour, at three in the afternoon, I was praying in my house. Just then a man in dazzling clothing stood before me
  • Acts 10:31 - and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered in God’s sight.
  • Acts 10:32 - Therefore send someone to Joppa and invite Simon here, who is also named Peter. He is lodging in Simon the tanner’s house by the sea.’
  • Acts 10:33 - So I immediately sent for you, and it was good of you to come. So now we are all in the presence of God to hear everything you have been commanded by the Lord.”
  • Acts 12:17 - Motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. “Tell these things to James and the brothers,” he said, and he left and went to another place.
  • Acts 15:13 - After they stopped speaking, James responded, “Brothers, listen to me.
  • John 21:15 - When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love you.” “Feed my lambs,” he told him.
  • John 21:16 - A second time he asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love you.” “Shepherd my sheep,” he told him.
  • John 21:17 - He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” “Feed my sheep,” Jesus said.
  • John 21:18 - “Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”
  • John 21:19 - He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. After saying this, he told him, “Follow me.”
  • John 21:20 - So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them, the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray you?”
  • John 21:21 - When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”
  • John 21:22 - “If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered, “what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”
  • John 21:23 - So this rumor spread to the brothers and sisters that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”
  • John 21:24 - This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
  • John 1:40 - Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John and followed him.
  • John 1:41 - He first found his own brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated “the Christ”),
  • John 1:42 - and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, he said, “You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which is translated “Peter” ).
  • John 1:43 - The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. He found Philip and told him, “Follow me.”
  • John 1:44 - Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the hometown of Andrew and Peter.
  • John 1:45 - Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the law (and so did the prophets ): Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth.”
  • John 1:46 - “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Nathanael asked him. “Come and see,” Philip answered.
  • Acts 12:2 - and he executed James, John’s brother, with the sword.
  • Acts 12:3 - When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter too, during the Festival of Unleavened Bread.
  • John 13:23 - One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, was reclining close beside Jesus.
  • John 13:24 - Simon Peter motioned to him to find out who it was he was talking about.
  • John 13:25 - So he leaned back against Jesus and asked him, “Lord, who is it?”
  • Acts 9:32 - As Peter was traveling from place to place, he also came down to the saints who lived in Lydda.
  • Acts 9:33 - There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years.
  • Acts 9:34 - Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed,” and immediately he got up.
  • Acts 9:35 - So all who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
  • Acts 9:36 - In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which is translated Dorcas). She was always doing good works and acts of charity.
  • Acts 9:37 - About that time she became sick and died. After washing her, they placed her in a room upstairs.
  • Acts 9:38 - Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples heard that Peter was there and sent two men to him who urged him, “Don’t delay in coming with us.”
  • Acts 9:39 - Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they led him to the room upstairs. And all the widows approached him, weeping and showing him the robes and clothes that Dorcas had made while she was with them.
  • Acts 9:40 - Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning toward the body said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.
  • Acts 9:41 - He gave her his hand and helped her stand up. He called the saints and widows and presented her alive.
  • Acts 9:42 - This became known throughout Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
  • Acts 9:43 - Peter stayed for some time in Joppa with Simon, a leather tanner.
  • Luke 6:13 - When daylight came, he summoned his disciples, and he chose twelve of them, whom he also named apostles:
  • Luke 6:14 - Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;
  • Luke 6:15 - Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot;
  • Luke 6:16 - Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
  • Acts 3:1 - Now Peter and John were going up to the temple for the time of prayer at three in the afternoon.
  • Acts 3:2 - A man who was lame from birth was being carried there. He was placed each day at the temple gate called Beautiful, so that he could beg from those entering the temple.
  • Acts 3:3 - When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked for money.
  • Acts 3:4 - Peter, along with John, looked straight at him and said, “Look at us.”
  • Acts 3:5 - So he turned to them, expecting to get something from them.
  • Acts 3:6 - But Peter said, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
  • Acts 3:7 - Then, taking him by the right hand he raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles became strong.
  • Acts 3:8 - So he jumped up and started to walk, and he entered the temple with them — walking, leaping, and praising God.
  • Acts 3:9 - All the people saw him walking and praising God,
  • Acts 3:10 - and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.
  • John 6:5 - So when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward him, he asked Philip, “Where will we buy bread so that these people can eat?”
  • John 6:6 - He asked this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do.
  • John 6:7 - Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread wouldn’t be enough for each of them to have a little.”
  • Revelation 1:1 - The revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
  • Revelation 1:2 - who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatever he saw.
  • Revelation 1:3 - Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it, because the time is near.
  • Acts 8:14 - When the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
  • Acts 8:15 - After they went down there, they prayed for them so that the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit because he had not yet come down on any of them.
  • Acts 8:16 - (They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. )
  • Acts 8:17 - Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
  • Acts 8:18 - When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,
  • Acts 8:19 - saying, “Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”
  • Acts 8:20 - But Peter told him, “May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!
  • Acts 8:21 - You have no part or share in this matter, because your heart is not right before God.
  • Acts 8:22 - Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, your heart’s intent may be forgiven.
  • Acts 8:23 - For I see you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by wickedness.”
  • Acts 8:24 - “Pray to the Lord for me,” Simon replied, “so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”
  • Acts 8:25 - So, after they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they traveled back to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
  • Acts 15:7 - After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you are aware that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the gospel message and believe.
  • Acts 15:8 - And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he also did to us.
  • Acts 15:9 - He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
  • Acts 15:10 - Now then, why are you testing God by putting a yoke on the disciples’ necks that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?
  • Acts 15:11 - On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way they are.”
  • John 12:21 - So they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
  • John 12:22 - Philip went and told Andrew; then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.
  • John 20:26 - A week later his disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
  • John 20:27 - Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Don’t be faithless, but believe.”
  • John 20:28 - Thomas responded to him, “My Lord and my God!”
  • John 20:29 - Jesus said, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”
  • John 11:16 - Then Thomas (called “Twin” ) said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s go too so that we may die with him.”
  • John 18:17 - Then the servant girl who was the doorkeeper said to Peter, “You aren’t one of this man’s disciples too, are you?” “I am not,” he said.
  • Mark 3:16 - He appointed the Twelve: To Simon, he gave the name Peter;
  • Mark 3:17 - and to James the son of Zebedee, and to his brother John, he gave the name “Boanerges” (that is, “Sons of Thunder” );
