Revelation 2:20 - “But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman—that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet—to lead my servants astray. She teaches them to commit sexual sin and to eat food offered to idols.
Matthew 24:24 - For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.
2 Timothy 4:3 - For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.
2 Timothy 4:4 - They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
1 Corinthians 5:8 - So let us celebrate the festival, not with the old bread of wickedness and evil, but with the new bread of sincerity and truth.
1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
1 Timothy 4:2 - These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.
1 Timothy 4:3 - They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth.
Jude 1:4 - I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Acts of the Apostles 20:20 - I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes.
Jeremiah 5:31 - the prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. Worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes?
1 Timothy 1:19 - Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
1 Timothy 1:20 - Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God.
2 Timothy 2:6 - And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor.
2 Timothy 2:7 - Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things.
2 Timothy 2:8 - Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach.
2 Timothy 2:9 - And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained.
2 Timothy 2:10 - So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.
2 Timothy 2:11 - This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him.
2 Timothy 2:12 - If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.
2 Timothy 2:13 - If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.
2 Timothy 2:14 - Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them.
2 Timothy 2:15 - Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:16 - Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.
2 Timothy 2:17 - This kind of talk spreads like cancer, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus.
2 Timothy 2:18 - They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith.
Revelation 12:9 - This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.
Acts of the Apostles 20:27 - for I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know.
Titus 1:11 - They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for money.
Jeremiah 23:27 - By telling these false dreams, they are trying to get my people to forget me, just as their ancestors did by worshiping the idols of Baal.
Jeremiah 23:28 - “Let these false prophets tell their dreams, but let my true messengers faithfully proclaim my every word. There is a difference between straw and grain!
Jeremiah 23:29 - Does not my word burn like fire?” says the Lord. “Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashes a rock to pieces?
Jeremiah 23:30 - “Therefore,” says the Lord, “I am against these prophets who steal messages from each other and claim they are from me.
Jeremiah 23:31 - I am against these smooth-tongued prophets who say, ‘This prophecy is from the Lord!’
Jeremiah 23:32 - I am against these false prophets. Their imaginary dreams are flagrant lies that lead my people into sin. I did not send or appoint them, and they have no message at all for my people. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Revelation 19:20 - And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Revelation 2:14 - “But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin.
Revelation 2:15 - In a similar way, you have some Nicolaitans among you who follow the same teaching.
2 Peter 2:1 - But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them. In this way, they will bring sudden destruction on themselves.
2 Peter 2:2 - Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered.
2 Peter 2:3 - In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.
2 Corinthians 1:12 - We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have lived with a God-given holiness and sincerity in all our dealings. We have depended on God’s grace, not on our own human wisdom. That is how we have conducted ourselves before the world, and especially toward you.
2 Corinthians 4:2 - We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.
