Numbers 31:6 - Moses sent them into battle, a thousand from each tribe, along with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, who took with him articles from the sanctuary and the trumpets for signaling.

Joshua 8:3 - So Joshua and the whole army moved out to attack Ai. He chose thirty thousand of his best fighting men and sent them out at night
Joshua 8:4 - with these orders: “Listen carefully. You are to set an ambush behind the city. Don’t go very far from it. All of you be on the alert.
Joshua 8:5 - I and all those with me will advance on the city, and when the men come out against us, as they did before, we will flee from them.
Joshua 8:6 - They will pursue us until we have lured them away from the city, for they will say, ‘They are running away from us as they did before.’ So when we flee from them,
Joshua 8:7 - you are to rise up from ambush and take the city. The Lord your God will give it into your hand.
Joshua 8:8 - When you have taken the city, set it on fire. Do what the Lord has commanded. See to it; you have my orders.”
Deuteronomy 20:1 - When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.
Deuteronomy 20:2 - When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army.
Deuteronomy 20:3 - He shall say: “Hear, Israel: Today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them.
Deuteronomy 20:4 - For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
Daniel 6:10 - Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

2 Chronicles 32:20 - King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to heaven about this.
2 Chronicles 32:21 - And the Lord sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the commanders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons, his own flesh and blood, cut him down with the sword.
2 Chronicles 14:9 - Zerah the Cushite marched out against them with an army of thousands upon thousands and three hundred chariots, and came as far as Mareshah.

Isaiah 14:32 - What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? “The Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.”
Judges 1:1 - After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, “Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Canaanites?”
Judges 1:2 - The Lord answered, “Judah shall go up; I have given the land into their hands.”
1 Kings 8:44 - “When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to the Lord toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name,
1 Kings 8:45 - then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause.

2 Chronicles 20:9 - ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
2 Chronicles 20:10 - “But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them.
2 Chronicles 20:11 - See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance.
2 Chronicles 20:12 - Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
2 Chronicles 20:13 - All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the Lord.
