- Deuteronomy 29:19 - And it shall be when he hears the words of this curse, that he will consider himself fortunate in his heart, saying, ‘I will do well though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart in order to destroy the watered land along with the dry.’
- Deuteronomy 29:20 - The Lord will not be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the Lord and His wrath will burn against that person, and every curse that is written in this book will lie upon him, and the Lord will wipe out his name from under heaven.
- Deuteronomy 29:21 - Then the Lord will single him out for disaster from all the tribes of Israel, in accordance with all the curses of the covenant which is written in this Book of the Law.
- Deuteronomy 29:22 - “Now the future generation, your sons who rise up after you and the foreigner who comes from a distant land, when they see the plagues of that land and the diseases with which the Lord has afflicted it, will say,
- Deuteronomy 29:23 - ‘All its land is brimstone and salt, burned debris, unsown and unproductive, and no grass grows on it, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and in His wrath.’
- Deuteronomy 29:24 - All the nations will say, ‘Why has the Lord done all this to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’
- Deuteronomy 29:25 - Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.
- Deuteronomy 29:26 - And they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they have not known and whom He had not assigned to them.
- Deuteronomy 29:27 - Therefore, the anger of the Lord burned against that land, to bring upon it every curse which is written in this book;
- Deuteronomy 29:28 - and the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, fury, and in great wrath, and hurled them into another land, as it is this day.’
- Isaiah 37:2 - Then he sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the household, with Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.
- Isaiah 37:3 - And they said to him, “This is what Hezekiah says: ‘This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and humiliation; for children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.
- Isaiah 37:4 - Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to taunt the living God, and will avenge the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.’ ”
- Deuteronomy 28:15 - “But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God, to be careful to follow all His commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
- 1 Samuel 9:9 - (Previously in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he used to say, “Come, and let’s go to the seer”; for he who is called a prophet now was previously called a seer.)
- Romans 2:8 - but to those who are self-serving and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give wrath and indignation.
- Romans 2:9 - There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek,
- Romans 2:10 - but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
- Romans 2:11 - For there is no partiality with God.
- Romans 2:12 - For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law;
- 2 Chronicles 28:6 - For Pekah the son of Remaliah killed 120,000 in Judah in one day, all valiant men, because they had abandoned the Lord God of their fathers.
- Ezekiel 14:1 - Then some elders of Israel came to me and sat down before me.
- Ezekiel 14:2 - And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
- Ezekiel 14:3 - “Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put in front of their faces the stumbling block of their wrongdoing. Should I let Myself be consulted by them at all?
- Ezekiel 14:4 - Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Anyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts in front of his face the stumbling block of his wrongdoing, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will let Myself answer him in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,
- Ezekiel 14:5 - in order to take hold of the hearts of the house of Israel who have turned away from Me due to all their idols.” ’
- Ezekiel 14:6 - “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “Repent and turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.
- Ezekiel 14:7 - For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who reside in Israel, who deserts Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts in front of his face the stumbling block of his wrongdoing, and then comes to the prophet to request something of Me for himself, I the Lord will let Myself answer him Myself.
- Ezekiel 14:8 - I will set My face against that person and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will eliminate him from among My people. So you will know that I am the Lord.
- Ezekiel 14:9 - “But if the prophet is persuaded so that he speaks a word, it is I, the Lord, who have persuaded that prophet; and I will stretch out My hand against him and eliminate him from among My people Israel.
- Ezekiel 14:10 - And they will bear the punishment for their wrongdoing; as the wrongdoing of the inquirer is, so the wrongdoing of the prophet will be,
- Ezekiel 14:11 - in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me and no longer defile themselves with all their offenses. So they will be My people, and I shall be their God,” ’ declares the Lord God.”
- Jeremiah 21:2 - “Please inquire of the Lord in our behalf, because Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us; perhaps the Lord will deal with us in accordance with all His wonderful acts, so that the enemy will withdraw from us.”
