There will be many of you. The Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to take as your own.
Deuteronomy 30:17 - Don’t let your hearts turn away from the Lord. Instead, obey him. Don’t let yourselves be drawn away to other gods. And don’t bow down to them and worship them.
Deuteronomy 30:18 - If you do, I announce to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You are about to go across the Jordan River and take over the land. But you won’t live there very long.
Deuteronomy 30:19 - I’m calling for the heavens and the earth to be witnesses against you this very day. I’m offering you the choice of life or death. You can choose either blessings or curses. But I want you to choose life. Then you and your children will live.
Deuteronomy 30:20 - And you will love the Lord your God. You will obey him. You will remain true to him. The Lord is your very life. He will give you many years in the land. He promised to give that land to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Deuteronomy 4:40 - I’m giving you his rules and commands today. Obey them. Then things will go well with you and your children after you. You will live a long time in the land. The Lord your God is giving you the land for all time to come.
2 Chronicles 7:17 - “But you must walk faithfully with me, just as your father David did. Do everything I command you to do. Obey my rules and laws.
2 Chronicles 7:18 - Then I will set up your royal throne. I made a covenant with your father David to do that. I said to him, ‘You will always have a son from your family line to rule over Israel.’
2 Chronicles 7:19 - “But suppose all of you turn away from me. You refuse to obey the rules and commands I have given you. And you go off to serve other gods and worship them.
2 Chronicles 7:20 - Then I will remove Israel from my land. It is the land I gave them. I will turn my back on this temple. I will do it even though I have set it apart for my Name to be there. I will make all the nations hate it. They will laugh and joke about it.
2 Chronicles 7:21 - This temple will become a pile of stones. All those who pass by it will be shocked. They will say, ‘Why has the Lord done a thing like this to this land and temple?’
2 Chronicles 7:22 - People will answer, ‘Because they have deserted the Lord. He is the God of their people who lived long ago. He brought them out of Egypt. But they have been holding on to other gods. They’ve been worshiping them. They’ve been serving them. That’s why the Lord has brought all this horrible trouble on them.’ ”
Leviticus 10:11 - Then you will be able to teach the Israelites all the rules I have given them through Moses.”
Galatians 3:10 - All who depend on obeying the law are under a curse. It is written, “May everyone who doesn’t continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law be under God’s curse.” ( Deuteronomy 27:26 )
Galatians 3:11 - We know that no one who depends on the law is made right with God. This is because “the one who is right with God will live by faith.” ( Habakkuk 2:4 )
Galatians 3:12 - The law is not based on faith. In fact, it is just the opposite. It teaches that “the person who does these things will live by them.” ( Leviticus 18:5 )
Galatians 3:13 - Christ set us free from the curse of the law. He did it by becoming a curse for us. It is written, “Everyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse.” ( Deuteronomy 21:23 )
Leviticus 8:36 - So Aaron and his sons did everything just as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
Ezekiel 33:25 - So tell them, ‘The Lord and King says, “You eat meat that still has blood in it. You worship your statues of gods. You commit murder. So should you still possess the land?
Ezekiel 33:26 - You depend on your swords. You do things I hate. Each one of you sleeps with your neighbor’s wife. So should you still possess the land?” ’
2 Samuel 7:10 - I will provide a place where my people Israel can live. I will plant them in the land. Then they will have a home of their own. They will not be bothered anymore. Evil people will no longer crush them, as they did at first.
