  • Acts 26:10 - And this is just what I did in Jerusalem; not only did I lock up many of the saints in prisons, after receiving authority from the chief priests, but I also cast my vote against them when they were being put to death.
  • Mark 6:17 - For Herod himself had sent men and had John arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, because he had married her.

  • Mark 6:23 - And he swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give it to you, up to half of my kingdom.”
  • Mark 6:24 - And she went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist.”
  • Mark 6:25 - Immediately she came in a hurry to the king and asked, saying, “I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”
  • Mark 6:26 - And although the king was very sorry, because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he was unwilling to refuse her.
  • Mark 6:27 - Immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded him to bring back his head. And he went and beheaded him in the prison,
  • Mark 6:28 - and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it to her mother.
  • Acts 5:18 - They laid hands on the apostles and put them in a public prison.
  • Revelation 2:10 - Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
  • 2 Chronicles 18:25 - Then the king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah and return him to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
