1 Kings 22:30 - The king of Israel spoke to Jehoshaphat. He said, “I’ll go into battle wearing different clothes. Then people won’t recognize me. But you wear your royal robes.” So the king of Israel put on different clothes. Then he went into battle.
Acts 12:21 - The appointed day came. Herod was seated on his throne. He was wearing his royal robes. He made a speech to the people.
1 Kings 22:6 - So the king of Israel brought about 400 prophets together. He asked them, “Should I go to war against Ramoth Gilead? Or should I stay here?” “Go,” they answered. “The Lord will hand it over to you.”
Matthew 6:20 - Instead, gather for yourselves riches in heaven. There, moths and rats do not destroy them. There, thieves do not break in and steal them.
Jeremiah 27:14 - Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who say to you, ‘You won’t serve the king of Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you.
Jeremiah 27:15 - ‘I have not sent them,’ announces the Lord. ‘They are prophesying lies in my name. So I will drive you away from your land. And you will die. So will the prophets who prophesy to you.’ ”
Jeremiah 27:16 - Then I spoke to the priests and all these people. I said, “The Lord says, ‘Do not listen to the prophets who speak to you. They say, “Very soon the objects from the Lord’s house will be brought back from Babylon.” Those prophets are prophesying lies to you.
2 Chronicles 18:9 - The king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, were wearing their royal robes. They were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor. It was near the entrance of the gate of Samaria. All the prophets were prophesying in front of them.
2 Chronicles 18:10 - Zedekiah was the son of Kenaanah. Zedekiah had made horns out of iron. They looked like animal horns. He announced, “The Lord says, ‘With these horns you will drive back the men of Aram until they are destroyed.’ ”
2 Chronicles 18:11 - All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing. “Attack Ramoth Gilead,” they said. “Win the battle over it. The Lord will hand it over to you.”
Acts 25:23 - The next day Agrippa and Bernice arrived. They were treated like very important people. They entered the courtroom. The most important military officers and the leading men of the city came with them. When Festus gave the command, Paul was brought in.
Matthew 11:8 - If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No. People who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces.
Esther 6:8 - Have your servants get a royal robe you have worn. Have them bring a horse you have ridden on. Have a royal mark placed on its head.
Esther 6:9 - Then give the robe and horse to one of your most noble princes. Let the robe be put on the man you want to honor. Let him be led on the horse through the city streets. Let people announce in front of him, ‘This is what is done for the man the king wants to honor!’ ”
Esther 5:1 - On the third day Esther put on her royal robes. She stood in the inner courtyard of the palace. It was in front of the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall. He was facing the entrance.
Ezekiel 13:1 - A message from the Lord came to me. The Lord said,
Ezekiel 13:2 - “Son of man, prophesy against those who are now prophesying in Israel. What they prophesy comes out of their own minds. Tell them, ‘Listen to the Lord’s message!
Ezekiel 13:3 - The Lord and King says, “How terrible it will be for you foolish prophets! You say what your own minds tell you to. Your visions do not come from me.
Ezekiel 13:4 - Israel, your prophets are like wild dogs that live among broken-down buildings.
Ezekiel 13:5 - You have not repaired the cracks in the city wall for the people of Israel. So it will not stand firm in the battle on the day I judge you.
Ezekiel 13:6 - The visions of those prophets are false. They use magic to try to find out what is going to happen. But their magic tricks are lies. They say, ‘The Lord announces.’ But I have not sent them. In spite of that, they expect him to make their words come true.
Ezekiel 13:7 - You prophets have seen false visions. You have used magic to try to find out what is going to happen. But your magic tricks are lies. So you lied when you said, ‘The Lord announces.’ I did not even speak to you at all.”
Ezekiel 13:8 - “ ‘The Lord and King says, “I am against you prophets. Your messages are false. Your visions do not come true,” announces the Lord and King.
Ezekiel 13:9 - “Israel, my power will be against the prophets who see false visions. Their magic tricks are lies. They will not be among the leaders of my people. They will not be listed in the records of Israel. In fact, they will not even enter the land. Then you will know that I am the Lord and King.
