  • Luke 23:51 - (He had not consented to their plan and action.) He was from the Judean town of Arimathea, and was looking forward to the kingdom of God.
  • Luke 23:52 - He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
  • Luke 23:53 - Then he took it down, wrapped it in a linen cloth, and placed it in a tomb cut out of the rock, where no one had yet been buried.
  • Mark 16:2 - And very early on the first day of the week, at sunrise, they went to the tomb.

  • Mark 16:7 - But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”
  • Luke 9:22 - saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and experts in the law, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.”
  • Luke 24:5 - The women were terribly frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?

  • 1 Corinthians 15:16 - For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:17 - And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:18 - Furthermore, those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:19 - For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:20 - But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:21 - For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man.
  • Luke 24:26 - Wasn’t it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”
  • Romans 6:4 - Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life.

  • Isaiah 53:12 - So I will assign him a portion with the multitudes, he will divide the spoils of victory with the powerful, because he willingly submitted to death and was numbered with the rebels, when he lifted up the sin of many and intervened on behalf of the rebels.”

  • Acts 13:36 - For David, after he had served God’s purpose in his own generation, died, was buried with his ancestors, and experienced decay,
  • Acts 13:37 - but the one whom God raised up did not experience decay.
  • Matthew 12:40 - For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.
  • Hosea 6:2 - He will restore us in a very short time; he will heal us in a little while, so that we may live in his presence.
