James 2:17 - So too, faith, if it does not have works [to back it up], is by itself dead [inoperative and ineffective].
Hebrews 2:1 - For this reason [that is, because of God’s final revelation in His Son Jesus and because of Jesus’ superiority to the angels] we must pay much closer attention than ever to the things that we have heard, so that we do not [in any way] drift away from truth.
Hebrews 3:6 - but Christ is faithful as a Son over His [Father’s] house. And we are His house if we hold fast our confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ].
